Not sure lol. I am also confused as to why he is showing a resort show...? I thought that his Instagram story regarding only showing two collections a year meant just a SS and AW RTW collections.
Ok, I have seen the whole collection at vogue.com:
Another resort collection...if Alessandro launches another fragance during his tenure, he´d better name it "Hypocrisy" by Gucci.
The only "new" thing here is the use of Doraemon prints...go figure!
Instead of using his design team as models, what about using them to design a collection which looks different from the same generic and repetitive stuff he always shows??
I wouldn’t have minded using staff to model the clothes if they didn’t use the behind the scenes stylist notes in the presentation. It’s WAY too much for me to pay attention to.
As usual for Gucci, great tailoring, too much logos, too much past, too cartoonesque!
I hope Epilogue means « move on from that direction ».
Seriously, when Nicolas completed the first 5 years of his tenure, it felt like it happened so fast!
Alessandro’s 5 years are almost exhausting! It’s almost like Gucci is an hostage of his aesthetic!
His 5 years feels like a decade! Wake-up Alessandro!
I don't know if I am just getting used to his overwhelming aesthetic but I really enjoyed a lot this collection. Once I picture them in my own taste, the clothes are nice. The tailoring is really good, the colours are nice and the prints don't mind me that much.
P.S : I went straight to Vogue Runway. The digital fashion show is really not my thing and even less a 12 hours live streaming. I am a pro lookbook and re-sees .
"The period of greatest liberation.....which I lived through when I was a child....was the 70s....which were really the golden years of the brand I work for....and I keep going back to them because, for me personally.... they were the real seeds of change.". Alessandro Michele.
