Gwen Stefani's new Harajuku Line...

bad news. shirts are $48, tanks are $42...
cheaper than l.a.m.b my bum!! lol.

Actually, the Harajuku line IS cheaper than LAMB - when LAMB t-shirts ranged from $65 for tanks to $150 for some of the shirts. But yeah, $48 is still high for a t-shirt, and especially since a lot of her newer fans are teens. The whole Harajuku website is very aimed at teens - she's going to be selling stickers and sew on patches that look very "Hello Kitty"-ish. It's "cute" but definetly not high end fashion. And expensive for just "cute".

By the way, where did you hear about the bags not coming out till November? I am very curious to see what those look like, and if they are like LAMB.

I don't like it......Well maybe for some funky teenage highschool kids this is ok....if they pull it off right...
But NOT for me...Naha

have you noticed that she loves all japanese-chinese stuff,Imao. Nothing speciall

gwen is so rich that her idea is "cheap" is really skewed. or she just meant it looked cheaper.

anyway, that stuff is gross. and the harajuku thing was played out when she started, let alone now.

Haha, this is so funny. When clicking from a couture collection from today, to this, this is just a huge laugh and not to be taken serious at all. Just hilarious, and dumb :P

although to be fair the only shirts that are $150 are cashmere the regular cotton ones are like $65-$90

im not a fan of the t-shirt however on the site it there are some adorable patches that are "comming soon" i may have to get as long as they arent extremely overprised

Why is she trying to use a Japanese image to sell her stuff/music..... I don't get her.... ...it's ok to embrace a different culture, but seriously, what's the point of popularizing it by using Japanese letters in her new ads!?

I'm going to buy the banana t-shirt... just cause it's an inside joke with some friends and I already have another banana t-shirt but this one is the ACTUAL SONG...

where can this stuff be purchased?

harajukuonlinestore.com or harajuku-lovers.com or b-a-n-a-n-a-s.com (they all lead to the same site, except the first one leads directly to the online store..)

also some stores will carry the stuff in august (or so the site says...) and sanrio stores will have stuff in november, but i don't think it'll be the clothing...just the bags/accessories/stationary

yeah, i know it's still technically cheaper than l.a.m.b (lol, i've got tons of $65 l.a.m.b cotton tees), but not by much...

and as for the bags coming out in november, i know they're supposed to be a part of the 'sanrio/nakajima usa' merchandise (as opposed to the tees and clothes, which aren't being manufatcured by them, as far as i know..), which will be in select sanrio stores starting in november, so i assume they'll be available on the website around the same time....
from the 'previews' in the flash section of the site (stationary and accessories sections from the map in the corner), they don't look too much like the LAMB bags at all...i think there's a backpack, a flight bag and totes coming out and a rolling suitcase... in a banana print (bananas all over on a yellow background) a rasta print (harajuku lovers over and over in rasta colors on a black/dark background) and a watercolor print (the caricatures).. it's definately very juvenile...which is expected with this line..

Yuck on the t-shirts--I wonder what the shoes are supposed to look like, she is supposed to have shoes under the label Love.

Whatever!

I dont' want to even think about it. The shirts are bad enough.
