Hairy Arms - Waxing or Shaving?

I say go w/ waxing (of course a licensed esthetician, like me, will tell you this..)...With waxing, you're pulling the hairs from the root, so it'll take less time for hairs to grow back, whereas shaving, all you're really doing is shaving the hairs on the surface of the skin, leaving the hairs beneath the surface to re-appear quicker..

Aveeno has a lotion that makes hair look thinner and less noticeable- Positively Smooth moisterizer. I'm thinking of getting this for my arms..

I try to do the same thing that I do for my upper lip: A combination of waxing and bleaching. They thin and lighten the hair, and the effect stays for a longer time each time.

i dont have them, but my best friend does-hshe wazes, which will kill the hair root, wehre as shaving will make the hair coarser and make you look 100 times worse

I'm a very pale dark-haired brunette and let's just say it isn't pretty on the arms. I tried waxing for a bit but I hated waiting for it to grow out (not to mention it looks SO obvious when you're waiting to go for another wax - a few people asked, "Did you shave your arms?!"). Now I shave... I don't need to do it very often (maybe once every two weeks?) but can do it whenever I notice that it's growing back and I want to feel smooth again. It's also cheaper, quicker, and less embarrassing... heheh.

And no, it hasn't grown thicker. ;)

You can use wax or you can dye them but don't shave them, it would be worst after

does this lazar hair session hurt? how much is it usually? thanks

I'm planning on getting laser done and it's gonna be about 400 €/session (6-8 sessions to get rid of it), I'm doing it at a dermatologist. I've had laser done in other parts of my body and it didn't hurt, but I've waxed for a long time and it doesn't hurt me at all so I guess it's a matter of getting used to "suffering".

Arm hair is natural and sexy!

Hi Girls,

I am a photographer in Pa. and must confess I like my models with arm hair! It gives the arms some definition, tone and life. I agree hairless arms look fake, a natural body is beautiful !
At most color or lightly bleach you arm hair and don't be self consious of it! We are all beautiful and unique, love yourself and you will shine bright!

Jeff
