Heidi Montag: Addicted to Plastic Surgery

Is the other one (spencer?) having surgery too? He was the uglier of the two.

Face wise she doesn't look aesthetically terrible. Objectively, I think it looks pretty good if you're going after a mannequin look. She looks devoid of personality and life. And that is terrible. Her original face had a lot of vibrancy and life in it, reflective of her voice and personality at that time. I actually think it's a bad example of plastic surgery because it doesn't tweak the face but rather changes it almost completely. The two images could really truly be two different people. Maybe mother and daughter.

Her boobs are ridiculous. She must have gotten stretch marks as a result.

Honestly, Spencer is the fugly one; why isn't he the one undergoing the changes? Oh yeh, because he's the puppet master...

Whether she's doing it to stay relevant/for the fame or because she's in an unhealthy state of mind further exploited by the manipulative relationship she's in, it's quite sad. It's probably a bit of both and reflects why psychological assessments should be mandatory for excessive plastic surgery. Although even if such assessments were mandatory, they'd be bypassed in Hollywood.

Ultimately, plastic surgery and Hollywood go hand in hand. So what Heidi has done is probably not that shocking and that's why she thinks it's necessary to keep up or just plain normal.

^ Eh, if you actually get a chance to read the article, it's made clear that Spencer didn't orchestrate this. For once he actually seems somewhat sincere. He didn't agree or encourage Heidi to do this but supports her either way. Anyway, this should probably be discussed in the 'Rumor Has It...' section.

I can't believe that this is being exploited and put in a magazine and that no one around her is giving her the help that she needs. My mind seriously boggles at this entire situation. Part of me doesn't want to pay attention to it because that is what they want but I every time I hear about this I find myself getting angry. This whole situation is just depressing...

What I'm confused about is why she's advertising it.

I can't stop visiting this thread! I am totally blown away by it.

The article ends with her saying "Because, for me, the surgery is always so rewarding."

She looks worse now, IMO.

I would say that her surgery made her look unreal. She looks like a goddess but because it required plastic surgery to make her unrecognizable, it sickens me. It's fake and unattractive.

Honestly, if you asked a person on the street who she was with her After photo, I swear no one would know.

^ You state she "Looks like a goddess" and then in the next sentence you put "it's...unattractive."

???

(Hello, by the way, papa levante :))

This is like a horror story.

Poor girl's never going to achieve her level of "visual perfection". No matter how many plastic surgeries she has, she's never going to look like Angelina Jolie (who she cited as an inspiration for her plastic look), Megan Fox, or Britney Spears.

I find it extremely disturbing that so many people equate confidence with looks. Your face and body are only a blank slate, a mannequin so to speak. It's your personality and your identity that make the mannequin come alive and give it a soul.

I really worry for this and the next generation of girls, growing up in a world where they equate their worth to the size of their boobs.

I thought we could leave breast augmentation in the 90s and 00s. :(

You state she "Looks like a goddess" and then in the next sentence you put "it's...unattractive."
:p What I mean is that her features make her look GOD-like. Seriously, if I didn't know she had gotten surgery, I'd put her on a pedestal! You can't tell me she isn't smokin' hot. (Males will oogle over her photo for sure.)

But, because it was all attained from surgery makes it all so unattractive, that you can't look that amazing through natural beauty. She wasn't bad looking in the least. It's a shame that Heidi's "confidence" is coming from surgery.

She looks like everyone else who has extensive plastic surgery. 'ugly' or 'beautiful' do not apply here. They all look like identical sex dolls/spooky clones/psycho killer robots.

Any cosmetic surgery that will change the way your face communicated emotion should be avoided!

The other disgusting aspect of this is that doctors and nurses who have spent years training, years learning about the human body, how it works, how to improve health, how to save lives - now they choose to become engineers of Barbie Frankensteins. The people who facilitated this whole gross spectacle should be ashamed.

i have heard that surgery to pin back one's ears is very painful and can take months to recover.

seems like she recovered from all this awfully fast.

I don't think otoplasty (ears) is too big of a deal - the ideal age is to get it done as a child and most kids can apparently return to school within one week (although must wear a headband for up to 2 weeks).

Oh Heidi, you disgust me. Back in high school I remember all the freshies, sophomores, juniors and even some seniors were all addicted to The Hills, and they pretty much modeled their lives around the show. They walked around flaunting their Heidi-level IQ like they were proud of it... It's only a matter of time until they start flaunting their new Heidi-shaped boobs...
