Sorry to dredge up an ancient thread, but I couldn't help but add to tricotineacetat's comment about cheap fabric etc. I've noticed many pieces from Helmut Lang ending up in discount stores, and they are always the the first to completely fall apart. The sweaters and thin tees come apart at the seams and are always marked with rips and holes. They really can't stand up to much wear and tear. Kind of sad to see it like that. I was trying to choose between a Helmut Lang sweater dress and another designer knit that seemed just as thin and delicate but so many of them showed signs of being easily damaged I just put the HL dress back on the rack. I don't think it's worth it for the price, and I can't even see anyone buying it for the quality. Jmo.
absoloutely gorgeous collection. its so simple, this is where Alexander Wang has gone wrong with his latest collection. he is trying too hard, trying to be a little Givenchy a little Alaia. If he'd done something like this, he would have got RAVING reviews not just ok ones.
