Every year my school has a festival where all the students and staff have to come in fancy dress according to a theme.

Last year it was 'Entertain Us', but because of all the girls who came as strippers/prostitutes this year they've made the theme much more limited- Pirates.

Obviously most people are just going to turn up dressed as pirates, but I want to be a bit more creative. One of my friends suggested Tinkerbell from Peter Pan and I really liked that idea but of course we can't both turn up in the same costume.

So, any ideas? Please help me, I'm so uncreative when it comes to thinking up stuff like this

I'm not sure where to post this thread, but I'm going to a themeparty this thursday. We're all supposed to dress up as pirates, could anyone give me some ideas about what I could wear?

White ruffled shirt or horizontally striped boatneck tee shirt
Black pants or skirt
If skirt, black leggings
wide belt with a big shiny buckle
costume sword and scabbard stuck in the belt is good
high black boots but probably any black shoe is fine
red bandanna on head
black eyepatch
scar on cheek
mustache and goatee optional
macaw on shoulder is excellent!

My flatmate and I are having a costume party for my birthday (well my birthday is Halloween so what else can I do? ), and everyone has been told to come as their favourite movie character. I thought this sounded like a great idea, until I realised how hard it is to think of a decent costume! Obviously it needs to be recognisable, but it seems to be only male characters that really stick out in films.

So far I have:

Lara Croft
Elle Woods (Legally Blonde)
Daphne (Scooby Doo)
Various superheros - Batgirl, Wonderwoman and Supergirl

What do you guys think? Do you have any ideas? I don't really want to go down the superhero route as my legs are *definitely* not leotard/ spandex/ hotpants ready! All help would be appreciated; I can't have the worst costume at my own party!

Do you have any other ideas? If not, do you have any original ho outfits?

Maybe you could be a really swanky corporate pimp or ho. Like the pimp that pimps his hos out to the Trumpster and flies them to Trump tower in his pimptastic private jet. Or you could be the high price classy ho? I don't know, this sounds like a ridiculous suggestion when I read it over.
