i just think that this look tends to make the side view look like someone slammed a door up against the ***.
not a good look at all. it's one thing to look slim and sexy, but not flat bum, it makes one look like they have a "long back"
as many new york guys shout at girls!!!! lmao!

i actually think it has the opposite effect for flat derrieres

So does this mean that the emphasis on the hourglass figure is making a comeback as well? With the empire waist it kinda went away.

I love the high-waisted jean, as it helps control the tummy every bit as good as other garments often costing more than the jean, and rounds out the other curves. By itself it looks a little funny, but when worn with a fitted jacket that hides the higher cut, but takes advantage of the narrower waist, the results are very flattering.

i was referring to a specific photo. I think if the cut is right and everything is sewn right or doesn't look to large or long, then it can be flattering.

I think high waisted jeans look great on women:D I am not so sure for mem. They look a bit weird to me. I guess I love my low waist skinny jeans...Who else besides Acne Jeans make descent men's high waisted jeans?

men in high waist....not so good...regular rise is ok...on girls it accentuates their waist

Regular rise on men looks the best. High rise for men would just look weird, and low rise, well I am fed up of seeing men's butt cracks hang out...lol

picked up the acne tubes the other day, just LOVE them!

they look great on you!:flower:
I think I'm ready to try something little less skinny too

^chic turtlenecks, slim fit cashmere sweaters, blouses (sleeveless, classic white, short sleeve) tucked in plain loose v-neck tshirt, chic coats, fur, heels, platforms, flats, etc. you have to experiment a bit. i bought a vintage pair from the 70's that i just loooove

jane loves marc, those look nice on you from the front. do you have a side view. i'm very particular about my bum looking like a board wacked it in.
the eiffel tower jeans the girl was wearing on the page before do absolutely nothing for me.
there must be a way to have a high waisted fashion jean, without it looking like your *** was shaved off the back..you know what I mean?
i definitely think that they need pockets for sure.

i think i have to stick to the skinny jeans...im only 5'5", so i feel like the high-wasted jeans will make me look stubby or shorter. is this true? i shouldnt knock it till i try it, but i sort of sense these things..what do you guys think? anyone have the same problem?

totally agree about the bum thing. even if you have a butt sometimes certain jeans just flatten it out. awful :yuk:

i have tried on this tube jeans....they really really high waisted...13 inch rise plus you got to be really tall to carry them off, since the tube jean is a taper leg. I tried these from top shop...http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/s..._category_rn=42317&productId=180989&langId=-1

they fit like a dream, its similar to what kate moss wore , lots of girls were trying them on because , one of the sales girls was dressed in the outfit kate moss wore at the topshop fashion show. They are regular rise (about 9.5-10 inch) but higher waisted than most of the jeans out there, its really comfy. I bought two , i liked them that much , and one for my cuzin.

disco, was it that high rise, including the waistband? I thought normal rise was 8" and low was 3-6"
depending on make.
i think flat ***es are nasty. im not saying we need bodacious booties, but even the skinny girls could use a lift and it doesn't make them look big.

i would say its regular rise...about 9-10 rise , with waistband, 8 inch is mid rise , below that yeah low rise. hahaah actually these jeans are perfect for both skinny and chunky girls, it creates a sihlouette on its own , at the same time your *** is not sagging, think dittos jeans from the mid 70s , they remind of that , but dittos were cooler they had butt details. Again though these jeans looked good on me, im a size 5-6 us and i have baby fat, they are soo damn comfortable .
i will post the link for you guys to see. http://www.retroland.com/pop_view.php?eid=3289&cid=1&decade=1970

i actually bought a pair of black ditto high waisted flares, with that "rainbow" seam on the back. they did look really good on me, but again, didn't have the right shoes.
they were black cords...i bought them at wasteland in LA

eva rocking them, from concreteloop, and jessica stam from the dsquared show
