I like the grey ant jeans...but I'm seriously not going to spend $330 on a trend. The victorias secret "grey ant" knock-offs are more reasonable.

^ Agreed. I found a pair at the thrift store in a lightweight cotton denim.

These jeans can be more versatile than you'd think, though. If I wear my shirt untucked, it just looks like wide-legged pants.

I also got a vintage pair of highwaisted wide leg jeans... only $8.00!! Love them & they look no different then those insanely priced ones lol.

disco54: "skinny and high waisted looks good ONLY..on tall and skinny nordic/slav girls", i have to disagree w/you. a black girl w/an afro, would rock the look better than anyone. but, you're right about gray ant, they are awesome. they sell them at bloomingdales and i tried on a pair. i almost died, they are so cute, but 330! waaaay over priced.

also, are murfs(wedgies) acceptable when you're wearing high waisted jeans? i was lookin at the pics on shopbop, and they all kinda ride up the model's crack. i feel like it's part of the look, or am i trying to justify how my pair seem to ride up my butt-crack.

yeah she looks like an 80s hooker in that video lol...and those stipper heels she wore with those jeans were just bad taste esp that wall scene omg!!!...skinny and high waisted looks good ONLY..on tall and skinny nordic/slav girls thats a fact sadly...the wide leg jeans are actually a throwback to the 1940s...the 70s copied them, another thing , they flatter more body types, i have 2 of them...i like them wide..its very nonchalant and katherine hepburn...but yeah 2 wide looks bad and too skinny looks bad...those photos you posted are nice...well im speaking from experience hun...lived through the 70s and 80s...trust me the wide legs (grey ant style and dittos) are much much much much much more flattering...

if your not a fan...a high waisted bootcut/straight leg is your best bet

another FYI---- skinny jeans are on their way out...will be there...but focus has shifted to higher waisted and more roomier yet flattering cuts...

actually, the more i think about it, anyone w/an afro and high waisted jeans would own the look. long straight hair, parted down the middle, would be my 2nd choice. the origin of the person wearing/skin color has no weight, more important is the hair.

^^^btw...i am a person of color and i honestly dont know what crap your talking about. well i have 2 pairs,im happy with them , if you have a problem with high waisted jeans dont wear high waisted, nobody cares. If you have a problem that tall nordic/slav girls look good in high waisted skinny jeans , go blame god not me...lol...i call a spade a spade...all i said was the best way for a variety of body types to wear high waisted is with a wide leg, because it works with woman who are not model thin and have curves like myself ( otherwise you like scarlett johanssen at IOC show in the marylin jeans). Yes, people on soul train would wear high waisted jeans but in tacky 70s colors. new high waisted jeans are modern and cool. Another thing this is an international fashion forum , people around the world know about the nordic/slav model types through magazines , same cannot be said about afro american dancers from soul train. anyways back to high waisted jeans-------->

lindsay lohan in high waisted jeans

A couple of months ago I posted these photos of Kate Moss wearing some vintage Chloe Jeans. It seems like she isn't the only one that is swapping her skinny jeans for a pair of high waisted flares. I received the above photo of Lindsay Lohan in the same pair of Chloe Jeans from an eagle-eyed Denimology reader. For those of you who fancy getting a pair of these jeans I am afraid the bad news though is that Chloe are no longer making them. However the good news is that TopShop (the company Kate Moss is currently designing a range of clothing for) are selling this very similar pair for the bargain price of £40.

i don't think the VS one's will look good on the backside, unless you already have a built in beautiful ***.
there jeans always have a super high yoke and dropped pockets.
unless they are the jeans with the built in underwear like in the catalog.

omg...first of all ...lost you should be working at vogue....your fashion knowledge...learning so much from you ...they have these butt lift jeans on vs...ive never tried any of their jeans...well only way to know for sure is to try them...

but they look really good...and vs manufactures ipex bras im sure their jeans would be good..they have a patent *** lift lol

try them out first is my thing....its vs so im assuming its decent quality...all their jeans have an *** lift in them. Just for for fun i tried on a high waisted skinny corseted pair , like kelis does in the bossy video ( but there is a reason why they dont show the bottom portion in the video) . The grey ant ones are a different look . Actually i was on youtube , looking at some soul train videos, from the late 70s, the clothes are really cool, high waists, jeans tucked in boots,harem pants dresses over pants, its really cool..i take my words back they really knew how to dress up then...i guess everything comes full circle....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XCFPOs2VrM

no afros there...all the girls have fara fawcett hair, i like the way the girl in the white scarf and dark jeans wore her outfit...

i forgot to mention , i find the wide legs the best, not crazy wide leg but decent 20-22 inch looks awesome and works wonders for your figure.
