How Do Clothes Fit Different Body Shapes?

Sometimes I feel like nothing properly "fits" me, which is why I end up wearing the same cherished items to death.

I feel the same way. I suppose that explains why my favorite Disneyland sweatshirt is beginning to look older than it truly is. :innocent:

when i was in like 5th grade i had this fish shirt! it had little fishes on it! it was my favorite thing in the world. it was a white turtleneck with really teensy blue fishes on it everywhere! i wore the thing to bloody death! i was foreced to stop wearing it when there were so many holes in the sleeves that it risked to fall off.
boy was i sad.
anyways.

My bum and boobs are too small so I can't really wear most jeans or string tops unless I wear a padded bra and boxers (which are uncomfy and make my bum kim karwhatsevrname like).I have such a tiny bum. It hurts when I sit down. Girls with padded ***es, you are so lucky.

after i got out of school i was less active and wasnt very happy so i gained a little bit of weight. i'm only 5'3 so even gaining a little bit makes a huge difference. i could not fit anything in my wardrobe comfortably because most things i wear are fitted. i bought looser clothes with the intention to lose the weight but i needed something to wear in the mean time. the problem is though, that loose clothes right now are sooo loose and huge, it made me look even bigger than i really was!

im back to my normal weight now so i can wear all of my clothes!! i think everyone has a limit on their body, after a certain weight it just gets really difficult to dress yourself. but lucky for me i didnt waste too much on the loose clothes because i have no plans on going through that again.

I find it very difficult to find clothes to fit me properly , small waist , big boobs big hips and a curvy back :(

Oh I know how you feel, but not with my bum. I'm not skinny or anything but I am quite bony. I can't really wear watches because my wris bone really ticks out, my shoulders rub on seatbelts and get sore. I can't use the machines at the gym where you put the big plastic things over your shoulders.

I'm pretty confident with how I look, but whenever I have the slightest bump in the center of my stomach (like when I'm bloated), I wear a billowy top. One of my best friends is top heavy and she wears tight tops with such confidence and I only wear tight tops when I "feel" skinny. I wear a small in tops..medium when I want them to be longer and a 4/6 in pants. I dont know maybe its just a mind thing but I just dont like clothing to be tight.

Sizes are more "proportionate" the smaller the size is. We always talk about waist-to-hip ratio, and when you work things out based on size charts, the smaller sizes are always closer to the "ideal" 0.7 WHR.

I think you can totally wear the same kind of clothes if smaller or bigger size. Honestly, like hot pants, someone size 0 can look good at them and someone size 8, as long as they are tones and good skin / no cellulite, stretch

:(Poor you, girl with a body like that walk naked!

-I have a love/hate relationship with my hips, sometimes I think they`re too wide for my body but I I love the way pants(esp.jeans)look on them.
-I`m busty and my arms are chubby so if I don`t wera tight tops I look fat but if I wear tight tops it shows my belly(I have a defined waistline with quite a big belly which looks quite weird, somebody asked me if I`m pregnant:angry:)
-My legs are too short and chubby,so skinny jeans don`t look good on me with flats.

I remember when I was younger ... I ate everything I wanted to, but was just very skinny and technically underweight. I walk fast and would always snag my hip bones on door knobs--they were always bruised. Don't have that problem anymore

I never find pants that fit. I would like to have ones that are snug around my thighs, but then the waistband is too tight. I think I just have a wide frame. It sucks.

I am very, very short legged. Like, the short cut for pants is still too long. I have to cut my own pants. Not even hem them! Just cut them so they're terribly frayed.

i look horrible in most strapless dresses because i have very bony arms, broad shoulders and a very very tiny waist.

Most of my pants have to be tailored in some sort of way; either to take in the waist and/or shorten it (5'5" depending on the day and 32" inseam). I'm all legs, short waist, hourglass figure and clothes do look and fit much better on me now as a size 6, than when I was a 14. When I was overweight, most of it was in my stomach, arms and face --Yikes! Because of that, I dont even look like the same person. I'm trying to get down to a 4 and wonder how clothes will look on me then.

I have to really dress for my shape because certain things like skinny jeans and waistless shirts look horrible on me.

You could have them tailored to fit the way you want ...
