How Has tFS Changed Your Style?

A little bit yes.
But American Psycho certainly has influenced my style a lot.

My actual style has not changed, but I have become a lot more aware of the workings of the fashion industry (both creative and marketing) in the short time I've been here.I view many things with a jaundiced eye now,and am no longer so easily parted from my money:lol: .

I also seem to be making my clothing choices a bit more consciously...before it was purely instinctive.

One thing that has happened is that I appear to have swopped my shoe habit for a bag one...but then maybe that's just because the shoe cupboard runneth over.

Oh,and I want to lose weight

I love this forum though!! I never knew there were so many people out there with exactly the same shallow preoccupations as myself:lol: .

I had no real style before tfs - now well, I'd like to think that I do

I think it's helped me A LOT to be confident about the clothes i like, and it's helped me also to develop my taste in fashion. i still like the same type of clothes i used to like before i came (loose, dark with a hint of color or vice versa), but TFS made me more aware of designers, textures, creativity, etc..and people here is a constant inspiration.

Yes it has.. I'm less monotone and I dress how I feel and try to create a unique look. I don't like wearing what everyone else is wearing... I didn't before... but now I have more means to try new things.. this board is great!

TFS has had a profound effect of my life in general. I have met some amazing people(via the web...hopefully we'll met in person in the near future). :D
I am constantly learning something new here. I am learning how to "break out" of my box and explore different trends and styles. TFS is very liberating. Seriously, I am so glad I found this site. It's truly amazing and I hope it remains forever.

To everyone here, thank you for taking the time out of your lives to share your advice, experiences, tips, opinions, stories, etc with me and with everyone. I really really really appreicate it. :flower:

Long Live The Fashion Spot!!!

Uhh.. YES.

hahah I had no style before, well we could possibly attribute that fact to the fact that I was what..15...16?

Thanks in part to TFS I have a sense of style, though I don't really think it is anywhere close to good..atleast judging by my outfits..

yes!! TFS has been a major part of my style development. I don't know what I'd do without bouncing ideas off of fellow fashion junkies, and hearing about their thoughts on things and looks!! I get most of my ideas from my head, but it's comforting to hear about other's ideas, and knowing I'm not alone in this whole wacko vintage thing...

I think it has ..

before it was like "I maybe won't give a damn " but now it's "I wont give a damn"
if someone says negative things abt my style which happens very often when you are 14 and different .

it's definetely made me more open minded about certain fashion trends like BALENCIAGA + cowboy boots!

I love all the different fashion views here. It's made me realize fashion is so extremely relative.

My fashion eye has been developing leaps and bounds in the last year. I've always adored nice clothes, but I feel my sense of style is growing exponentially and I'm looking at them in a whole new way. And it's so lovely to be around people who care like I do!

I think Tfs has definitely helped my style in that it's broadened my horizons by introducing me to things I might not have found on my own. I adore this place

I think my style has evolved since I joined tFS, certainly. Part of it is natural evolution, part of it is exposure to tFS, part of it was living in Milano...

Milano is a strange city. It's grey, industrial and very boring. The climate is horrible; cold and damp during winter, hot and humid during summer. And the mosquitos are everywhere! There are great bars and restaurants, and some great old architecture and art to be found. The city is also very modern and trendy. Or should I say "trendy" only? I'm not so sure the Milanese are "modern"... The shopping opportunities in Milano are great though!

Anyway, Italian style is mostly about labels and fake labels; it has a lot to do with impressing others. It's the most lable-whorish city I've seen! Living there certainly made me even less reluctant than before to display labels on myself...

Living in Milano also showed me that designer items end up at the supermarket sometimes; I guess there's so much stuff floating around that it has to end up somewhere... So much for exclusivity.

Even though I knew a bit about the fashion business before joining tFS, it sure has taught me a lot and made me more cynical and jaded. I consider this to be a good thing!

yes it's made me realise that I should express myself through fashion more. And I dress to impress you guys....not the people that see me everyday, I know it sounds crazy but it's true!!!

uuhhhh... that would be MORE reluctant, not "less".

Like many others, it has helped me not worry too much about looking different. :flower:
