"I GOT IN!" ... Announce acceptance of your Fashion School Appications here.

Ok, I just finished my appliance form, letter and portofolio. I'm going to send it out right now.
Wish me luck!

i got into concordia university in montreal!
i am so relieved, that was my last one, now i've heard from everybody and the waiting process is officially over. eight acceptances, seven rejections, and one waitlist. thank god, now i can figure it out and move on.

You guys are going to call me crazy I applied to one school. No I'm not lazy, its just that I could only see my self at one school, and that is F.I.T. I got waitlisted for the fall 2008 fashion design aas program so now im waiting to hear a reply. I would have gotten into FIDM, Art Institue. But they are both joke schools on my opnion nothing to what F.I.T or Parsons is. I've decided if I dont get into F.I.T for the fall 2008 semester, I'm going to apply to Parsons for Spring or Fall. Wish me luck everyone, has anyone heard of people getting in off the waitlist?

I would say to hold tight since deadlines for tuition deposits are on May 1st, so I believe more spots may open up after that. Good luck!:flower:

Going to University of California at Los Angeles in the fall. Supposedly it got more applicants than any other school in the nation  I also got accepted into Berkeley, which is ranked 1st for public, but I liked UCLA better.

Does anybody go or going to FIDM in San Fran? My best friend is going there and was wondering if anybody had any advice.

Is it really necessary to call FIDM and AI schools a joke? I mean I actually think they are good schools. Of course partly because I go here but it's just hurtful when people say things like that. I actually feel like I have learnt a lot and the school has good connections.

...notice how I said IMO. You may think that FIDM or AI is a great school, I still think they are not even near the standards of Parsons or F.I.T.

Right. But this is the Official "I GOT IN" thread not the trash other schools thread. Thanks.

Back to the topic... I can't wait to go to LCF in the fall :flower:

I got into to CSM for my foundation year- now I'm freaking out about getting onto one of their degree courses!

NYU cannot be compared to any other school. It seriously can't. It's not because of the school, it's because it's in NYC. Most people would abhor the university if it were not situated in one of the most exciting cities in the world. It's a large school in a large city. I really love it but I also know that I would have been just as happy with the other school I was deciding between (UPenn). However, I got a nice financial aid package from NYU. I'm majoring in biology but the program is only good. I thought it would be excellent. The people here are very diverse. There are fashion-lovers, fashion-haters, TOO MANY HIPSTERS, and people who truly believe they are too ****ing cool because they go to school in NYC but they are actually from the Midwest. Maybe the last group just annoys me because I am from here. NYU is in Washington Square Park and is a good medium between all of the downtown locations. However, I spend quite a lot of my time on the UES because a lot of students have found pretty cool hangouts in that area. The Village is always a safe bet for NYU students, as well. My roomie is in Stern and really likes it. She wants to stay here after graduation so it'll definitely help her with getting a job after NYU. As for being prestigious, it's right up there with Harvard. :D Overall, I am very happy with campus life but underwhelmed with my actual department of study. :flower:

Oh wow, that's a lot of useful info, thanks! I'll be a junior next year and I'm transferring all the way across the country from UWashington in Seattle to NYU. Loved Seattle, but I want more access to the fashion world! Although I'll actually be starting out with NYU in Florence. But I'll be in NYC by Spring, and I am SO excited!

NYU is super expensive  I would only go if I got some scholarship. But I've also heard that private schools give away more money to people  Does any body know if that's true?
