Missoni. Missoni's show was a Milan blockbuster. The house has patented the zig-zaggy look on knitwear, but this collection was a subtle departure from Missoni's classic themes. The majority of the frocks were made by fabrics other than need, and the selection of patterns were no longer restricted to interweaven horizontal lines. Most looks produced challenges of other sorts: sheerness and boldness (the color) must co-exist. Consider it beautifully done.
Oscar de la Renta. He upstaged both Ralph Lauren and Valentino. 'Nuff said.
