Opening page: Gucci's flirtatious, architectually beautiful dress in attention-grabbing red and casading layers of silk encompasses the trends of the season--feminine, floaty, with a bold color as an accent.

Left: Viktor & Rolf mixes softness into a masculine look with pastel colors, ribbons, and a delicious pair of sparkly red heels. (This look actually was no where near popular in the spring)
Right: Louis Vuitton shows that the look of luxury is both casual and dressy. A cozy chocolate-brown sweater nicely downplays a patterned dress with serious gold fringes. Clashing trends have never looked so current.

Left: Carolina Herrera gives a new life to an everyday tank by pairing it with a fabulously extravagant skirt and the result should please any modern girl who aims to be individualistic but still hopes to retain a dose of retro elegance.
Right: Narciso Rodriguez deviates from his usual black and white palette and rigorous tailoring, but this dress still exhibits his signature elegance, in addition to being youthful and light-hearted (This look is also no where to be seen in magazines, but it's one of the best dresses Rodriguez has made).

Left: Derek Lam's strapless floral dress may look pretty in an old-fashioned way, but the tailoring and detail are nothing but of-the-moment.
Right: Celine's "desert-island dress" is an unabashedly joyful explosion of colors.

Left: Chanel's tweed-trimmed trench comes in 3 versions (floor sweeper, knee-length, cropped-to-the-waist) and 3 colors (black, white, and khaki), and each one is an instant classic.
Right: Marc Jacobs does Hepburn chic with a blue tweed jacket and white carpis.

Left: Balenciaga continues to experiment with architectural tailoring, and even if not all of us can fit in his tighter-than-glove skirt suits, the craftsmanship is undisputable and inspiring.
Right: Lanvin has generated a following with its seamless, candy-colored, and often bejewelled cocktail dresses, but the standout from this collection is this Asian-inspired number in muted gold.
