Illamasqua Makeup

Uhhm, I actually forgot that I've also tried a brush, the Blush Brush 2:

(photo from Illamasqua.com)

This is a synthetic, angled brush that works perfectly for precisely applying very pigmented blush or countour powder. It's super soft, hasn't shed a single hair, keeps its shape wash after wash (gotta love synthetic brushes), and the bristles are shaped just right, and the size of the brush head is...can I use the word "perfect" yet again? :D

I desperately want to try the powder blush, the loose and the pressed powder, and the lipsticks too.

i wonder if it's as big as my blush brush, otherwise i need it!

Adding SPF to a foundation is meaningless. It doesn't protect you from the sun for more than 1-2 hours, and hardly that - you'd need to use a lot even to do that. Plus it photographs really awful. It does sound like a lovely foundation

Really? I wasn't aware of this- I thought my foundation with spf 25 provided me with enough protection even during summer (especially rainy Norwegian summers), I've been skipping additional sun protecting products. I'll add proper sun screen to my morning regime now, thank you!

Those who are curious about products from Illamasqua and/or craving something: I received a promotional e-mail from Illamasqua.com yesterday informing me that they offer free international delivery on all orders over 40£ until midnight Sunday if you use the promotional code "Delivery40" at checkout- just thought I'd share.

I didn't know they shipped internationally  Not good for my wallet

But no, always use proper water-proof sun protection so you don't need to reapply every 2nd-3rd hour, that is such a hassle. I live in DK, and the UV index can get pretty high even here. If it's below 3 then there's no need for SPF, but it can be above 3 even in rainy weather

Summer Sale

There's a £5, £10 and 25% off sale going on right now:

The nail polishes part of the £5 sale include Brigitte, Fern, Glory, Hectic, Insanity, Victory, and Raindrops. (Illamasqua's nail polishes are some of the best around!:heart:). If you're in the US, none of these shades are available at Sephora... although Fern used to be.

I ordered the Pressed Powder, a Powder Blush and a new bottle of Skin Base foundation in a darker shade- and I have to say, I'm in LOVE with Illamasqua now. The pressed powder is PERFECT, and the blush so pigmented, and now when I have found the correct shade in the foundation, I'm even more impressed with it.

And not only were the products amazing, Illamasqua.com really knows how to make the online shopping experience perfect- the parcel came quickly (within a week), and the products were packed in a sleek, black box- no gray cardboard and cheap green foam padding:

^ that blush looks nice. apart from the right color, how did you like the foundation?

oh, and where did you order them?

I just ordered from Illamasqua for the first time 2 days ago, too. Now I can't wait for my parcel to arrive, it looks super pretty.

I ordered the Glory nail varnish and the Poison lipstick from their Summer Sale ^_^

I LOOOVE the foundation- I liked it so much that I ordered it in another shade, which turned out to be a perfect match. It's easy to apply, the result is flawless, it's long-lasting and it potographs amazingly. You can try to run my review of it in my blog through Google Translate, although I think a lot will be "lost in translation".

I ordered from Illamasqua.com.

haha we're all so in sync. i reviewed the skin base today: http://ohhellew.blogspot.com/2011/08/review-illamasqua-skin-base-foundation.html

Great review! I agree with everything, including you comments on what other reviewers have said.

I'm falling even deeper in love with my pressed powder and the Chased Powder Blush:

I will definitely buy more powder blushes from Illamasqua, they're craxy pigmented and last all day.

Yes! I received my Illamasqua parcel today. I wore Poison all day, love the color and it's very long lasting!
I'd never purchased anything from Illamasqua before but I can see this becoming a new addiction :ninja:
