Hi there! This is my first thread so be kind:p

I have noticed there are people on here with a love for strong make up looks and specifically Mac, and I went to Selfridges today to be greeted with the most beautiful exotic and inspirational make up brand I've witnessed. Those with pale skin will rejoice, as they do foundation so pale even I, who looks painted brown in NW15, found a shade paler than myself! They do pure pigments, stunning colors and I know that i'm going to just be addicted to what they do.

The website is in the process of being fully created, but please, check it out, the inspiration is 1920's Berlin arthouse movements. Apparently the brand will be rolled out nationwide after their exclusivity contract with Selfridges runs out. Beauty!

Thanks! There's an article that mentions this line in December's UK Vogue, and it piqued my interest.

I have found one problem, the foundation is so pigmented it settles in my pores and chalks off. Still, the color cosmetics are amazing!

tried the cream blushes and shadows the other day. they were nice and creamy. i'm not sure about the lasting power though. they seemed very blendable but at the same time a bit like they'd just slide off my hand bc they were so . . . liquidy? hard to describe. not as sticky/greasy as the MAC blushcremes though. colour selection in blush was limited imo.

I think the beauty of them is meant to be the eyeshadow and pigmented lipgloss. With the blusher, it really is rather true to what it appears in the palette, and the lipgloss has a great range of unusual shades.

Saying that, I feel a bit sorry for them, apparently they aren't doing very well in selfridges.

Are they not? I thought they would be pretty popular. I want to have a try.

Well you should pop to selfridges, they were the only make up counter that didn't have tons of people bustling around it. They're really nice there, very helpful. Don't touch the foundations though, they're TERRIBLE.

Illamasqua Cosmetics

This summer I bought a few products from this brand. It's quite expensive but its worth it- from my experience. I bought a few lipsticks, mascara and a creamy blush.

Anyone here bought any of their products? What do you think? I heard theyre only available in the US and UK...

Anyways here is their site:

Merged the threads. I had never heard of this brand until I saw a video on the Guardian of a make up artist doing a classic red lip and she used some of their brushes. Looks interesting....

how is the bronzer duo on olive/tan skin? im thinking of buying it after reading reviews...

Thanks..I've never heard of it before, but I might try it out the next time I go to the UK. Anyone know what's good?

I've heard that they have very good pencils.
I don't really know about the rest, sorry!

Bought a ton of stuff to go with my already sizable collection from illamasqua and I would say that the Rich Liquid Foundation is fabulous for five minutes, the pencils are great, the brushes are really nice, although some are rubbish and too harsh because of the synthetic materials. The lipsticks are mostly nice but have been really disappointed with the blue and purple, as they are too see through so they look messy and cakey if you try and build them to a good coverage. Blushers are fantastic though, such great color payoff!
