What would you suggest wearing on a long flight? I'm think of wearing a slightly loose fitting tee, comfy shoes, and I plan on bringing a snug sweater if it gets a little chilly. But I'm at a loss for what bottoms to wear! Sweats are out of the question because I have to look pulled together when I get off the plane. And I hear jeans paired with long flights are a disaster. Any other options?

all great suggestions. don't forget the Airborne....it's really good for you...lots of vitamin c and other good things..because airplanes are so nasty!

the best way to stay moisture is that before you board the plane always have 2 lit of water , i know its hard but trust me .. do that n you can stay fresh all the way in a 8 hr flight .. then have another 2 lit of water on the plane and you will be fine. When you are on the plane .. slam on some thick face cream , or better still slap on some mositure mask n dont bother washing it off until you get off the plane .. you will step outta of the plane lookin fresh ..

definitely bottled water - there was this gross thing on tv that said some flight attendants if they run out of water for say the ppl at the back of the plane, they might use water from the tap in the bathroom

^ Eww that is gross! Luckily this time I'm flying business class and they always hand out new bottles of evian

what's up with jeans on long flights? if they're baggy it wouldn't be a problem, would it? I guess it's just about not wearing any tight fitting clothes on a plane, or is it really just jeans?

i am going on a long trip in 3 weeks. from ure tips i plan to take:
moisturiser
bottle of water
wear comfy clothes
eye mask
socks
jumper
vitamins (but are u allowed to take them on the plane with some customs? like korea and the uk where im going)

The essentials are water, books or magazines (anything you can read!), music (ipod,mp3,cd player), snacks that come in small packs, and of course the non-rinse desinfectant, and a blanket to wrap around yourself when it gets cold.

So many good suggestions! I've also added to my list pressure socks to prevent DVT ah scary!

Haha I'm good at that! :P I get up like every 40mins on the flight to walk around and stretch heheh I can't sit still!

Elo estherlouise! Umm I'm off to Japan, the UK, Switzerland, and Paris!

how exciting for u!!! i am off to the uk and then allover europe, bring on the warm weather.

Ooooh WOW! Mmm it's nice over there at this time of year hehe! I hope you have a great and safe trip!

Sydney, great thread! I'm also going to Paris, London and Tokyo in 2 weeks :woot:

I always overpack my carry on bag, there's nothing worse than a 24 hour flight to London! I usually even bring a change of clothes on the flight, so i can get on and off looking pulled together, but change into sweats or comfier clothes during the journey. Also natural Valerian pills- herbal sleeping tablets so you can at least rest. And i cleanse and moisturise a couple of times during the flight, and redo my makeup just before landing. :flower:

What i'll pack in my carryon:

Good book/magazines
Water
Sleeping mask
Passport, purse, camera and valuables/fragiles, etc
Full skincare for extra hydration, plus makeup for touchups before landing
Sleeping mask/natural sleeping pills
Earplugs/nasal spray (this stops your ears hurting with the pressure if you are at all blocked up)
Comfy change of clothes
Hand cream
Jurlique rosewater spray or travel blend hydrating spray
Travel guide on destination
Snacks

My nose gets so dry during flights, its like the dry air makes my nose extremely dry that it hurts. It feels like daggers up my nose (lmao)

Anything i can use to stop that?
