India Street Style

I just found this thread! indian_rose - you've posted some great pics. I see Queenie Dhoody and some other socialites are in some of them - I find that they dress better than most of the Bollywood stars. Although some still manage to go overboard with high-end items and look tacky! hehehe

Nice pics,a lot of nice dresses and bags.Thanks stateofbliss :flower:

those sari prints are really nice!!! the ones they bring here arent as vibrant. meanwhile one peculiar thing i ve noticed, many Indians could actually pass for Latinos sans the traditional Indian wear and makeup

To be blunt, very few of the pictures on this thread actually constitute what I'd call 'street' style- most of them, particularly on page 3, are of socialites and minor celebrities of some description who probably wouldn't be caught dead walking down an average Indian street, or shopping on one for that matter.

I guess this is what normal girls in India wear out- these are people I know from uni, and they were actually out on the street when these pics were taken.

Ohhh... I love the look of the Indian streetstyle blog. I am always so inspired by India, its culture, and well dressed citizens so it is nice to see a blog about it.

Yup =)

Vogue India has carried a street style feature in the May Issue. I'll try to scan that.
Grazia India did a story on Indian bloggers in their April issue.
One of my favourite indian bloggers was featured . Here is her link

I would love to see the Vogue India street style feature, it would be awsome to see the scan of it!

Karma Maharani for the links to those blogs! Do you know where the writers are from, Delhi perhaps?

And thanks for posting those pictures, Drusilla, I always get so excited when I see this thread updated (doesn't happen often enough unfortunately).

God, I wanna go back to India so badly, it's been so long since I last visited.
