I have the Jacky's OS Alexa and Regular Alexa with me right now. They are from the latest batch as I just received the bags 2 days ago. BOTH the OS and Regular Alexas are made of the same leather. There is no difference.

I have used my Regular Alexa for a day (I didn't carry much, just my wallet, phone, tissue packs and keys in my bag organiser) and there are already creases/wrinkles on the back of the bag. The leather on the back of my Alexa is thinner than the leather on the front of my Alexa.

But, given that J's Alexa costs only a fraction of the real deal, I'm not complaining. I think that the finishing on J's Alexa bags is really good. I cannot see a stitch out of place and the quality is good. I love the braided top handles and just like what coco109 had previously reviewed, they are perfect.

I don't think conditioning will do anything much. If you want to soften the bag, just use it frequently and it'll break in eventually.

I picked up both my new bags on Tuesday. I am so happy I twisted my arm and bought that Day. Holy Crap! WOW! I love it! I thought I was going to be all.... TwiggyTwiggyTwiggyTwiggy...... and cursing that cavernous feed sack of a bag called the RH Day but oh no I di-in't girlfriend!
I haven't carried the Vert D'eau Twiggy yet but will in the next few weeks - a lot of that has to do with the weather and my hopes for temperatures above 18C. I can't wait to wear it with my staple chocolate brown & white or navy & white summer wardrobe. The Twiggy is lovely and the size is great. The leather has a nice texture to it. Soft, slightly distressed, thinnish and with kind of a satin finish. Totally different to my '07 Anthracite, totally! Different too, compared to the Sang RH Day. Could be because it's a different style. The Sang leather feels more soft..... or puddly? Again, different style bag maybe. OMG! I really love that one! I was so worried I wouldn't like it. I managed to take a couple photos in the daylight in the car when I picked it up, so I shall share it with you. I think it captures the shade and leather quite nicely. (I so wanted to do a silly reveal with the yellow taped-up envelope - maybe next time) If you haven't bought anything in Sang (or whatever y'all wanna call it) you should - before there's nothing left. I will take photos of my Twiggy tomorrow in the daylight (outside) and maybe some mod shots, too! I don't think anyone has posted pics of a Twiggy from this batch of vert d'eau yet.
*I also think Galet would be a perfect neutral. I've been looking for a Gray bag for some time now but TBH, I really have my heart set on a Bottega Sloane hobo in that gorgeous Limo colour. Though I could be talked into an Argent something. (*still not totally a Bal convert - but I love the ones that I've got ) pics mine - as stated in post above.

ITA! I saw Catty's oak alexa, and while it looked like it has the grainy cow(ish) leather, the measurement and the shape is off. So i opted for Jacky's instead.

Photos Post of Jacky's Regular Oak Alexa

Here are photos of my Regular Oak Alexa from Jacky.

The long strap is double-looped so that I can carry it as a shoulder bag. After using it for a day, I am sure I will let the long strap stay double-looped. The only way to take things out of the bag without spilling any content is by carrying the bag messenger style or as a handbag.

When the bag is held by the braided top handle, it is very difficult to take things out of the bag. The braided top handle of the Regular Alexa is also too short to be carried by the crook of the arm. However, the braided handle of the OS Alexa is longer and can be carried by the crook of the arm.

In my opinion, the Regular Alexa looks good when it is carried messenger-style, held by the braided handle or carried on the shoulder (with double-looped long strap).

The OS looks best when it is held by the braided handle or in the crook of the arm.

As you can see from my photos, the back is creased and wrinkled after one day of use, and I did not even carry much. I only carried the essential items (wallet, keys, mobile phone, tissue packs etc).

I am actually relieved that the front of the bag has no creases because the creases kinda disfigured the back of my bag (but, who cares, since no one will see the back of my bag anyway).

Please note that my Regular Alexa looks bigger than usual because I unsnapped the snap folds on the top sides of the bag. You can see it in Pics 1 & 2. I did this so that my bag organiser would fit more easily inside the bag.

Photos Post of Jacky's Nude Alexa

Here are photos of my friend's SUPER GORGEOUS Nude Regular Alexa.

It is simply breathtaking in real life. I am kicking myself for not ordering it too. It is sooooo soft and squishy! To anyone who's worried about the python trim flaking off ... don't worry about it.

If I had to pay the full price of the auth bag for this item, I would NOT buy it. Yes, the python trim will peel over time and also, the nude lambskin will stain easily. If I had to buy the auth, I would get Oak, since it's more durable. However, the quality of J's Nude Regular Alexa is really good too and at the price he's charging (1/10 of the auth, I reckon?), I wouldn't worry too much about stains and the python trim flaking off. The python trim has been treated with a layer of gloss and will not peel that easily. The bag is too pretty to pass up on and totally worth it.

The only thing 'flaw' (well, it's not really a flaw, but I don't know what else to call it) is, the pattern on the python trim tends to vary. As you can see from Pic 1, one side of the buckle is darker than the other side. But as we all know, python skin does have natural variation anyway, so it's not too much of a problem.

Someone has asked about the colour of the hardware on the Nude Alexa. It's rose gold and I hope you can see the difference in the colour of the hardware between the Oak and the Nude in Pic 4.

I will be including this bag in my next order.

Here are photos of Jacky's Regular Oak Alexa vs OS Oak Alexa.

While I was taking photos, I realised that the leather of the OS is indeed softer than the leather of the Regular. The OS will definitely slouch and break in faster than the Regular. I cannot figure out the reason why the leather of the OS is softer though. Both OS and Regular Alexas look the SAME to me. Perhaps, the size of the bag does play a part? Since the OS has more leather, it'll break in faster? I am thinking along the lines of how Bal's RH City bags break in much faster than the Giant HW City bags.

In Pics 1, 2 & 3, my Regular Oak is on the left while the OS is on the right.

In Pic 4, the OS is in the top half of the pic while the Regular is in the lower half.

Photos Post of Jacky's #2886 Caviar Jumbo (Old vs New)

Here are photos of Jacky's LATEST #2886 Caviar Jumbo as compared to my #2886 Caviar Jumbo from an earlier batch (ordered late last year).

Jacky has made two corrections to the #2886. The interlocking Cs on the new #2886 are flatter and slightly wider than the old batch. Please refer to Pic 2. The difference is not great though, and you can only see it when you compare both bags side to side.

He has also corrected the sides and bottom of the #2886. Please refer to Pics 3 & 4. Mine has puffy sides and bottom, but the new batch has completely flat sides and bottom. The sides of the new #2886 also has thinner leather and is easily squished (doesn't hold its shape too well). Other than that, I cannot see any difference in the leather quality of my #2886 vs my friend's #2886 from the latest batch.

Oh, and for some weird reason, I don't know why my friend's #2886 looks slightly smaller than mine in Pic 1. There is NO difference in size in real life.

What I can fit into my Regular Oak Alexa and NBF RH City bag

This is my last photos post for the day.

Here are photos of what I can fit inside my Regular Oak Alexa and NBF RH City.

I use a bag organiser to keep my things organised and also because I have the habit of rotating my bags and using a different bag everyday. My bag organiser measures 7" in height, 10" in length and 4" in width.

As you can see, the RH City has more room to spare than the Regular Oak. The bag organiser takes up all the space in my Regular Oak, but there is still room to stuff more items into my City bag. Please also note that I have released the straps on the top sides of my Regular Oak Alexa so that the bag organiser can fit into it nicely. If you intend to cinch in the straps on the top sides of the Regular Alexa, the bag organiser will NOT fit into it at all.

The things I carry on a daily basis are shown in the last pic.

babybluestar, Thanks for the response regarding the VD and color transfer. T&D said that they would give me my tracking info Mon and it is now Thurs so I think I'll shoot them an e-mail as to where my bag is. It seems I've been waiting for it forever.

As for Jacky's site, I finally sent him an e-mail and his response was very quick and now I'm just trying to decide which 5 items to get so I don't have to pay for the extra $30. I think I will wait until the Rocco with the straps come in though, he said it will take only 10 more days! Hopefully he restocks the smaller Hermes belts by then!

xooey, thanks for the pictures and detailed report. i've been on the fence about the nude alexa (love it but, worried about color transfer, etc.) and you've convinced me that for the price, it's definitely beyond worth it. (i mean, people pay more for PVC Guess bags here!)

xooey, thanks for your review of the jumbo flap!! it's good to know that jacky has corrected some details, although it's too bad the bag is less structured. i wonder if he has also corrected the medium flap - does anyone know?

i received my vert d'eau RH city a few days ago!!! the leather is amazing...so soft and thick, with just a little wrinkling. there's no shine at all and the colour is stunning. i much prefer it over the black leather. if anyone is on the fence about vert d'eau, GO FOR IT!!! it's perfect for summer! and congrats to all the other vert d'eau owners hehe

the only problem is...T&D sent me the wrong strap, AGAIN! i now have two First straps instead of two City straps. not really sure what to make of that....but they have assured me they will rectify it. anyway, here are some pictures of VD

Thanks everyone for the comments re: meeting T&D. The boys are wonderful, I feel like we're old friends. They're coming to visit me in Beijing, as they've never been here before.

T&D told me they're still waiting on a final decision for Moutarde. Apparently yellow is a very difficult color to make. Bouton D'or was really a disaster the first time around.

Congrats to every one with new bag babies I truly love them all T&D are doing an amazing job on the leather && the colors && getting bags out faster im super happy for all you gals Vert is TDF I want but Im sooooo afraid of light bags I know I would have problems keeping it clean.. Well i've been in bag rehab && i've gotten rid of most of my bags...Now I only have one nbf bag left my ruby first && just my speedy mirage && vernis alma && damier azur galliera pm from my original collection. I've gotten rid of my palermo ( mom loves it ) sold my galliera && traded my neverfull.. I even got a LV montorgueil but did not keep it longer than a week..Ohhh and my hermes birken && 2 nbf works so far its been 7 bags that have been shipped off. But i've gotten a speedy 40 which I love && a brand new neverfull pics of the speedy && monte below... The speedy is like 3 years old I got it from my friend its a new to me speedy she got it from china... The monte I traded my neverfull for because I was getting a new one so I didnt really care.. Both are from V1 Factory.. I will explain in a later post about how I feel about V1 factory but for now here are the pictures.. Ohhhh && sorry soooo long dolls
