And slightly off-topic, but I was just browsing the Bal modeling picture thread over on the other forum, and I have to say, for a forum with so many replica-haters, there are a lot of fake Alexander McQueen scarves in those pictures.

bebe73 - wow! i think it looks good! i always look at the leather sealer to compare. yours looks good from what i can see in your pics i don't really pay attention to the other important details: fonts (sizing, placement etc) and color of the pattern, etc though so not sure if they're all correct. did u order it online? the vachetta leather looks nice

Thanx Chica,Bebe && jihanemo I still have my orange birkin it was alot softer than the black one && made better && DiorMouse you had me laughing soooo hard about the faux mcqueen hahahahaha they have some nerve. So I posted a pictures a while back of a nightingale with the 4g logo && asked you girls for help..I didnt have any luck and jacky && catty didnt have it && said they wouldnt so I looked high && low && could not find it at that time Then I said okay since im not having luck with that so I looked into the a. wang coco but I noticed everyone saying the same about how heavy it was.... So I passed because I carry a lot of junk with me && it saddend me because I really love the texture leather it has but not digging the weight issue. So while I was doing research on the a.wang with different sellers last week I found my dream bag The nightingale with the 4g logo && with that a. wang type of texture picture below Im beyond happy && will be getting it pretty soon. Okay now some LV talk I always get pms asking me about my lv bags heres some info if your looking to buy one or just need help. In the post above I talked about serial codes starting with V1.. Now the leather on these bags are differnet compared to the leather on some other like SP.. I use to only buy bags if they had a Serial that started with SP because the canvas was very close && the bags are very good. I notice on my bags with SP serial numbers the the leather was real but it looked as thought it was coated with something it did not turn into a nice honey color like on the louis vuitton bags.The color was a honey like color. Also it took longer && when you put oil or water it would not turn it fast like it was real deal leather.. Plus it was smooth and no texture to it like you couldnt feel the pores. Okay V1 leather as soon as you put water or oil on it it turns as you can see in pictures below and the leather feels like real leather.. I've had bags that had the TH serial code also && the leather is very nice thats who made my palermo but the leather still had a odd color once it started to turn the honey color.. Also the canvas tends to vary on some of the bags which is fine because real lv canvas varies also the older canvas does not look like the newer canvas etc.I know that these bags will never be perfect but as long as I can find a bag with the V1 serial number im fine hahahahaha..Also you have to look at detail I notice if the security around the leather trim && handles etc is super good && the detail is perfect the the leather will be super good also... jihanemo I got rid of most of my bags because I didnt use them or they bothered me im very very picky && I want it near perfect Sorry about the long post && heavy pictures Just tryn' to help other LV lovers out..

V1 Neverfull leather Vs SP Old Neverfull Can you see the difference?? See how there the security on my old neverfull is very faint also on the trim of my new one you can see it go around the top on my old no security line in sight not that good in detail..&& imo the V1 leather looks much better..

look at the security line && the leather on the azur pm is just like the leather on the V1 Neverfull both have the same V1 Serial The Galliera mono is from the SP as with the old neverfull

thank you...I have bought my speedy on italian site. In my opinion the leather is very good, and also the fonts are correct. I think it's the color of the canvas that is too darker respect the original...however I love this bag very much.

idk maybe im just a very picky person about detail but I noticed on my bags that are V1 the detail is perfect.. The straps on my new neverfull which is v1 are thicker && the leather is real leather && doesnt feel coated like my older neverfull did.. No they where not purchased by the same vendor I bought one from ioff && the other from a friend.... Thats part of the reason I got rid of my mono galliera because the leather on the strap was smooth && almost like it was coated when I put water on the strap it wouldnt turn like if I put water on my azur pm galliera.My mono did turn but It took longer. Its really hard to explain if you need help pm I will help you && show you different bags && things to look for etc only if your a reg here tho..

Hi Everyone. Can I ask a favor? Those of you who have black T&D Cities, can you please post any pics you have of them? I'm asking because I am torn between buying an authentic version of that bag or the T&D version, but can't decide what to do. I'm very happy with my Outremer twiggy from T&D. I think it looks very close to auth. But with Black, I know there is quite a bit of variance between the different batches, so I just wanted to see a few to compare. Thanks!

I did a joint purchase from Jacky with xooey and goddesh not long ago and have just collected my bags yesterday! I bought a regular oak alexa and a chanel jumbo caviar with silver hardware.

Xooey managed to take a few comparison photos of her jumbo (purchased last year) and my jumbo a few posts ago. As stated by her, there were a few changes made to the jumbo, which is the leather of the sides/bottom as well as the logo.

The leather at the sides and bottom are flat which I believe is more true to the authentic. However, the sides of the bag are flimsy. If I were to carry the bag, the sides would be sticking out which is quite unsightly. Hence, upon ariving home with my bags, I used pegs to clamp the sides and left it overnight in this state.

Just this morning, as I check my jumbo, the sides remain to hold its shape, without flattening and sticking out of the sides. Other than this problem, I'm satisfied with the purchase. The quilting is definitely less puffy as the authenitc but for a rep, I can rate it 9/10

As for the Mulberry regular oak alexa, I have yet to inspect it closely. From a quick glance, the bag is definitely tiny in my opinion. As much as I love the design, leather and hardware of this bag, I might be letting it go in the end The main reason is because, to me, the size is a tad too impractical for me to use. I will try to use it one day and hopefully i might change my mind eventually. If not, I will be posting it up at bagswap.

Mod Pics of Regular Oak Alexa

In all previous photo posts, I forgot to credit my photos. Please note all photos were taken by ME!

Here are my mod photos of my Regular Oak Alexa.

I am 5ft 3" tall, or 162cm in height.

As you can see from the photos, I uncinched the straps on the top sides of the bag. This is why the bag looks bigger than usual.

I usually carry the bag handbag-style (refer to Pics 3 & 4).

Regular or OS Alexa?

This is my last post regarding the Alexa bag from Jacky.

goddesh, madmurderermud and I ordered various Alexa bags from Jacky. goddesh bought 2 - a Regular and a OS, madmurderermud bought a Regular and I also bought a Regular.

I believe goddesh and madmurderermud find the Regular Alexa to be too small for their daily use and will probably let go of their Regular Alexas. We feel that the perfect size for the Alexa would be a size between the Regular and the OS, but it's just too bad there's no in-between. I, on the other hand, will be keeping my Regular Alexa.

I will sum up the pros and cons of the Regular Alexa below.

Pros of Regular Alexa:

1. Looks great as a messenger bag.

2. Looks great as a shoulder-bag (double-looped). This is a huge consideration for me because I am a working adult and I wear mostly dresses/skirts to work. Hence, I want my Alexa to look nice when carried as a shoulder bag.

Cons of Regular Alexa:

1. It is small. Will only hold my essential items (Iphone, keys, long wallet, tissue packs, small card-holder). Please refer to Post #4131 in this thread. After fitting in my essential items, there is NO room for other items such as a cardigan, etc. A4 documents will NOT fit into the bag. All A4 documents have to be folded in half and you also cannot cram too many sheets of paper into the bag. The Regular Alexa is more like a Balenciaga Town bag ... in between the size of a Bal First and City bag.

2. PITA to retrieve items from the bag when you hold it by the braided handle. Braided handle is too short to fit comfortably in the crook of the arm, so it's best carried messenger style, shoulder bag style or by clutching the braided handle in the hand.

Pros of OS Alexa:

1. Very spacious bag. Will comfortably fit in all essential items, A4 documents, cardigan, etc.

2. Looks like a workhorse bag and the braided handle will fit comfortably in the crook of the arm.

Cons of OS Alexa:

1. IMO, the OS Alexa doesn't look as nice when carried messenger style. It doesn't look that nice when carried shoulder bag style (with double looped long strap) too.

2. PITA to retrieve items from the bag when you hold it by the braided handle.


So, in choosing the size, you will have to consider whether you want style over function (in which case, it would be the Regular Alexa), or a bag for daily use (in which case, it would be the OS Alexa). No prizes for guessing which I prefer!

goddesh and I have noticed that the leather on the back of our Regular and OS Oak Alexa seems to crease/wrinkle much more easily than the front of our bags. The creases are permanent and pretty obvious. We don't know why this is so, but this may be a consideration for all who're intending to get the Alexa bag from J.

Sooooo, I'm waiting on Jacky to get the Alexander Wang Coco duffle with strap. I can only think of 3 things I want from his site, but I'd hate to pay the $30 shipping fee when I can only order 2 more things and get free shipping.

Anyone have any opinions on his Prada bag 3031 in Chocolate? Here it is (Credit goes to Jacky for the pic
