i've posted pics of Jacky's white 1112 in caviar with gold hardware in the pic thread. i'm SO happy with it! it's my first caviar bag and i didn't know what to expect...i prefer lambskin over caviar as i feel it's more luxe and classy but it's nice to know that i can be a little more practical with the white since caviar doesn't scuff/scratch as easily.

Has anyone ordered a Chanel re-issue from either Catty or Jacky? I think I'm going to get Jacky's silver with Lambskin, but I also curious of his new Gunmetal one. The problem is I would want the sides more accurate and Catty's seems less uneven...

I'm wanting to buy the LV Damier Trevi and the Damier Azur Speedy too! I just ordered the Boetie PM from Joy. Yes, she does charge per item.

I am planning on buying the trevi and speedy after I receive my boetie, as I have never bought from her and want to see her quality and service before I splurge.

I've spent hours comparing Jacky's LV to Joy's and, based on the pictures, Joy's seem to be better.

Jacky's free shipping deal, however, really tempts me. There is only one thing I want from Jacky, the Alexa in Plum, that Joy does not have--- and I can't seem to find other things that I can add to the order to total 5 items. Aghhh.

When do you plan on placing your order with Joy?

Orchidian you have great taste When did you buy your Boetie? I wonder if her shipping takes long. Can anyone recommend a good rep of the damier azur speedy or is it more worth it to just buy the auth for a couple hundred more?

I may just get all 3 from Joy. There were detailed reviews somewhere.. I think thread #3 or #4 from a bunch of Joy's LVs. I'll have to go and check. Oh are you getting the Trevi PM or GM? I want to place the order soon! Tomorrow at the latest! Does she give a discount for buying a lot?

After drooling over amethyst_sparkle's Chanel bags, I couldn't resist but ordered one from Catty. I got myself a Classic 2.55 red jumbo with silver hardware in lambskin. Overall, I'm pleased with it's quality as it was pretty close to the authentic Chanels that I have. A slight give-away would be in its chain strap, the stitching is not as tight as the authentic but then again, no one is going to pay that close attention to the strap. I was a little disappointed but am prepared to live with a tiny black mark in the inner flap of the bag but Catty assured me that it was the grain of the leather.

orchidian i know i said i was gonna go with joy but i placed an order with catty just right now! she's so accomodating with me and i have always gotten what i ordered with her. she sent me pics of all 3- the epi speedy 30, damier azur speedy 30, and the damier trevi pm she's super quick with shipping too, i once got an order in 4 days!! OH and i got free shipping so my total was $263 for all 3. it would have been about $400 for the same items with joy.

Spoke to the boys and they recommented VD with GGH (which is a gorgeous combination if you look at the pictures posted!) However, decided to give VD a miss since I prefer neutrals. So I have decided on a GGH City in Galet and wait for Bleu Roi and get it in RH Day.

-I'm looking for RED wallets, I already have some, but I find them hard to find in that color, so I'm interested in both quality and variety... any suggestions whatsoever?

I don't think she offers discounts, but if she does I want one!!

I'm glad you ended up going with Catty!! I had posted rave reviews about Joy but once I closely inspected my items from her, I realized that the items you end up with can be very different than what you see in pictures on her site. In my last order from her I got 5 items and only two of them were good (and one of those two has a flaw that the one on her site does NOT have).

Also, I no longer recommend Joy's multicolor items. It's VERY hit or miss because most of her MC items have incorrect colors now. The pink in the row with green and black should be a bright, fuchsia color. It's now a dulled down pink on most of her MC items. It's a shame because she has the biggest variety of MC items....

If anyone does order from her, I recommend requesting pictures of the EXACT items you'll be receiving rather than relying on her website pictures.

And regarding her Bals, (since someone mentioned they looked good), they're more than T&D's (remember their price includes shipping and her's doesn't) and the rivets are totally off.

I'm sure Joy still has some good items and I still love my wallet I got from her way back when. I know every seller has their ups and downs, but I'm very wary of her for now....

Regarding her shipping, you can add items to your cart and proceed to checkout and you'll see what the shipping charge would be without actually having to checkout. HTH!

Which items specifically did you not like? Should I ask for a refund if she has not shipped yet?

Thanks for the advice about asking her for a photo before she ships... I'm going to see if she will do that for me.

Btw, I just stumbled on a site that is getting rave reviews from alot of people, but the prices are double what most sellers are asking and alot of pictures are the same as Jacky's. Anyone know what I'm talking about (ba********.com)?

For ladies who have bought chanels from both jacky & catty, is there a significant difference in terms of quality? I'm thinking if it's worth paying slightly more for Catty even though mishaps happen occasionally with her bags.

lucy92: i posted here a few days ago that if anyone wanted a Folk bag they should write to T&D. They are taking orders for it now. Presently they are only offering it in sorbet, anthracite and black. Later on they might make it in blue roi or pivoine. I am getting a sorbet and anthracite one as I love flap bags. I just got a vintage Kooba Annie tan flap and I love her.

If you would like one just write to T&d. The folk bag is a very simple style to make so I don't think it will take too long to reproduce. They will have mine on Wednesday.
