I really, really want RGGH Black or Anthra City. Keeping my fingers crossed the boys might put some completed bags up on ioffer. I'm nervous about getting the bags without seeing the finished RGGH product.

Was it BBS who wasn't sure about prepaying for the bags? Well, I feel you!

cloudyblue i'm with you on that. there have been a couple times where they said you have to prepay to get in on this batch but then they would have leftovers.. but then, there were times when they did stick to that statement. it's a gamble!

i like the black in the rggh thimbles and the rose gold zipper together. looks casual but still a little flashy.

crystal you're welcome, i hope they made BDR too! what are you planning to get? i'm still torn on an RH first or city OR GSH day.

Am I the only one who likes the tinge of black on the thimbles? I find it gives the rose gold an antique look. I would like to see how the RGGH turns out. Am very tempted by the pairing with Anthra. I'd also like to see how Bleu Roi turns out before choosing other colours over it. There are too many colours to catch up!

Bisoubis, NO! You aren't the only one who likes the "antiquing" of the thimbles. I love it. I wish they were doing a work, but alas, I have to "settle" for the city. I'll get it in black.

I think Jacky is doing the leopard calfhair alexa as he's got the same leather for the Bayswater on his site now. But the leopard pattern is really off, so I'm think the pattern on the alexa will be off too?

ETA: has anyone been getting varied responses from catty lately? usually she answers questions when i ask them regarding leather, more pics, etc. I buy from her pretty often so it's not like i'm wasting her time...but i've noticed her last 2-3 emails have been like "here are pics" she doesn't even address my questions....almost makes me feel like i'm bothering her to request pics.

Question: How do T&D decide which colours to make for their bags? Popularity?

I saw the S/S 10 colour swatch and have fallen in love with Vieux Rose.. it's similar to 06 Antique Rose which I missed out on and the colour is just right! Sorbet was a little too intense for me.. the Ardoise looks good as well, darker version of Galet but I'm not sure if T&D will still do it since they just did Galet??

i like it too. if the HW were all true rose gold like the front panel zip, it would be too bling-y and similar to the GGH bags. this makes it different enough to warrant having the exact same style and color of bag with different HW imho.

sometimes i think the GGH on the city is a little try-hard...like they're trying to cram so much design into such a small space. the RGGH, especially on the dark colors where the GGH would have dominated the bag, is a little more understated thus hip. not quite so desperate for attention.B)

jacky's mulberry leopard is definitely off, but i like his better! that teeny leopard print on the auth is hideous.

I remember some fellow tFSer told us that her recent T&D City with giant hardware did not have lampo zipper on the top zip and made it quite obvious that it made the bag obviously look unreal.

I asked T&D because I am looking to prepay for a giant city and they told me that the auths no longer have lampo zipper for giant hardware bags.

To the ladies that own the auth from recent batches, is that true? I would appreciate a reply before prepaying!

i think it is just the RGGH zips that aren't lampo and i think that's what was told to t&d.

Cristal7, for sure i will post pics of my Noix PT GSH, i can't wait, but need to be in the patience mode for a while...

Bakedbean, did you try coating your vachetta with a bit of extra virgin olive oil? To me it worked very well on my denim sunburst LV messenger. With a cotton pad just put some drops and pass them carefully thru the vachetta parts, then I put it on the sun, I did it 3 times in 1 month. My speedy came with a nice tan and then the sun did the rest very fast, that was rare do.

Pinkprincess I'm planing for BdR, a Day GSH or GGH, ummm.
BTW Girls a week ago they told me BdR was just delayed on the tannery but confirmed that in 5 weeks will arrive. Now I'm reading your posts about not being sure and I'm in ?

re. bulging sides for chanel bags from jacky - mine from jacky (lambskin jumbo & another in maxi size), both came with flawed sides. I used alittle body lotion to condition the sides (soften the leather as the bags were very stiff in structure) & proceeded to clip the edges for the next week. tt helped fix the sides & they folded nicely since.

re. medor clutches - got excited when i read another member's post as i wld love to own one. however, after browsing thru ioffer, the ones there are terribly made. i wish jacky wld consider making this bag since his CDC bracelet & belt are well made.

is desiremall.com out of business??? anyone here in contact with them recently? i posted earlier with this question. till date no one has replied me back. i wonder what has happen to them....


question - i tried to google & search this but got only 1 relevant post back. anyone here has ordered jacky's birkins - how are they? I have not tried his birkins till date as I always felt the shape look off in his pictures. but im really loving the purple he has now & he keeps telling me that i will like the birkin. i wld really appreciate feedbacks abt this bag. tks in advance!

Only RGGH styles do not have the lampo zipper.

Naiala- Bois de rose does not come in GGH, only RGGH and GSH. GSH would look really good on it though. T&D wanted everyone to email about BDR because they didn't think there was enough interest. They don't want to run a color if it will barely sell.

abarth - i have yet to see a rep birkin that passes the test. there's always something that's off...the handles, structure, proportion, etc.

meryll - my bad. i was right to say this in one way, but may have not made the point clear. i am happy that there is not dent on the silver hardware of my new chanel flap because this mark only appears on gold chanel hardware. this symbol (like three small strokes) notes the gold plating of the hardware. if it appeared on the silver hardware, it would be a big no-no. sorry is i caused any confusion!

chanel is also wonderful. i was in the chanel boutique not so long ago looking at the same bag and the caviar leather is spot on. the hardware is also fantastic - no dent on the CC, which i have read is one of the biggest tell-tale signs of a fake. this bag is a little small for me, but i love it so so much i wore it today and kept some everyday bag items at home.great little bag.

Can you explain to me what "no dent on the CC" mean?
