baglovin, i believe the third version was mentioned in my original post (about the coloring being duller). Thanks!

that's NOT off? just a little? in the real one, the "spots" doesnt have "holes". Jacky's has bunch of them. that's not OFF?
this discussion can be posted here, as long as it is on topic: how good/bad jacky's leopard mulberry is!

additionally, jacky's interior is brown and the 3rd leopard (which is my guess on the one he was trying to rep?? ) has a black interior. plus hardware looks too yellow/brassy.

can't wait for the darcy hobo though. dual purpose: fashionable AND an arm workout. i can now eliminate strength training on my arms ha

ETA: i know it's a super limited edition...but j should really make THIS alexa too! :D :D

Yowsers! I think it's great that everyone is so passionate about their bags....

And as I was the one who originally posted the Mulberry comparisons-- I have to add that I did do the research and I stand behind what I posted (both posts)and in my opinion it isn't a great rep of any bag Mulberry is currently offering. That said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if you love the bag and buy it and wear it well, then that's all the matters.

The lesson: Do your own research! And lots of it! Before committing to a rep bag even from the likes of our most trusted, fantastic sellers.

^baglovinequine: Love that gold Alexa. love love love!!!

the leopard is still WAY off.

no one is trashing jacky...we LOVE jacky, but come on, no one can rep every single bag correctly.

calf hair bags are a PITA to deal with anyway.

totally loving the gold alexa baglovin!

imagine if jacky literally took an oak or black or nude alexa and just coated it in cheap gold paint and like that chanel cerf tote horror story of the paint coming off--- the HORROR!

and seriously what is up with his hardware being so shiny and yellowy (and not a nice gold-yellow either, like cheap gold looking).

has anyone seen a calfhair/ponyhair bag caught in the rain?! totes thesiren! PITA

If anyone wants an anthra with rose gold hardware from T&D, send them a email.

They weren't ready to let me prepay for the bags yet as they need to get more girls who want this combo.

:flower:

thesiren and abarth: Thanks for the input on the medor! I may just go for it anyway. I love the overall design, and the authentic is $3k+, so maybe I'll just put up with imperfection^_^

Leopard-print mulberry: Leopards and cheetahs and ocelots and jaguars oh my! That's a lot of different exotic cat prints. Mee-OW! I confess that I like that weird micro-cheetah print, or whatever you call it. :p

thanks ladies, appreciate the comments & votes! amethyst 30cm birkin it shall be!!!

chukotka, its alittle unorthodox but i actually used my own body lotion (bath & body works body lotion) for such case. I would normally recommend to use a regular leather conditioner like meltonian or applegarde for normal leather maintenance. BUT for this case, i felt i needed a 'stronger' conditioner that can really work & soften the leather. I also use BBW body lotion if I need to soften my bags eg: jacky's hermes lindy bags, they come alittle stiff & rigid, so as to make them more floppy, i will just apply generous amounts on the leather to condition & soften the leather.

oh, & after you have massaged in the marks, do remember to stuff the bag to the brim (really overstuffed!), & leave it somewhere cool temp. - stuffing the bag will help to push the mark out/flatten the mark.

oh i must feedback that a few yrs back, i ordered jacky's YSL muse in that horse or calf hair leopard print bag - & it was a very bad idea. i really didnt like it & it never went out of the house. it just didnt feel luxurious. So i hope its not going to be similar material used for this mulberry bayswater, hmmm....

I apologize if this is considered off-topic, but as it is a question about ioffer bags imma ask it here:

Has anyone ever purchased items off ioffer that was such a bad rep, you tried to get a refund from the seller? What's the success rate of getting a refund and what if the seller disappears?

abarth - i love the kelly! sorry i missed your poll earlier. the color/leather are so luxe...i would hate for it to be a miss just because it's a birkin! i think the kelly is a safer bet, but obv, it's for you and you know what you like best.

madgal - i got a refund from a seller years ago when i ended up with a hideous YSL muse. just check their feedback and be up front from the get-go. make it clear you'll want a refund if the bag isn't what you want. usually from that a seller will be adamant that there's no returns/refunds/exchanges or they'll clearly be happy to work with you (in a reasonable manner) until you're satisfied.

i would be freaked out to have any sort of fur/hair from china. who knows wth i could be...

handbag - yes, the quality of the LV varies on the bag, not always the seller. jacky is pretty consistent when it comes to mono/damier and epi, but i do have a stellar damier from catty. if you tell us which bag you're eyeing, we can tell you if it's one that is repped well across the board or usually sucks.

Thank you for the help! :flower: Here is where I am as of today. In the mono, I have a Speedy 35 and a Multipli-Cite`. Love the Speedy but being a mom of boys on the go it's not always practical without a shoulder strap. The M-C isn't comfy for extended use because the straps are so wide and the bag is so boxy and structured it gets annoying. In Damier I have a Speedy 35 and a Cabas Mezzo. The Speedy has the same limitations as stated above. Love the straps on the CM, but I would love a less structured style....the pointy corners can get in the way. I do enjoy these bags very much and considering that one was only available by SO or resale and the M-C is long discontinued, I really want to keep them.

My main style consideration right now is a Neverfull. I LOVE the casualness and look of this style, but am hesitant because of two things. One is the open top. Not a big deal for me security wise, more from an aesthetic standpoint of others being able to see into my bag. Second is the thinner straps. Are they too flimsy or out of proportion for such a large bag? Do those of you that have one (I am thinking the largest size as I am close to 5'8) do you find the bottom sags without putting a support on the bottom? Is the largest size HUGE?

I am torn between one in Damier Ebene or a mono. I like Damier because of it's practicality...doesn't show wear unless it's abused. I have learned that in the Damier the brown leather can be too dark on reps. I like the mono because it's more casual, yet I hate that I have to be uber careful with the vachetta getting soiled. There is a lot of red sealant (is this the right term??) on the mono NF and it would be a deal breaker for me unless I could get that as well as the vachetta spot on (or almost) with the auth on a rep. I could get both I guess... :innocent:

If you got this far without your eyes glazing over and whacking your head on your monitor...bottom line: which has a better overall aesthetic look, a Damier NF or Mono NF? :p

I would really like to order either anthra or black with RGGH but as previously posted I would like to see samples of their hardware before I take the plunge

Finally received my Sorbet twiggy, she is a real cutie :p

bakedbeans - have you tried using a conditioner to moisturise those marks on your LV stellar bag? they look like pressed marks & not scratches.... if they are marks, worth a shot to try your fingers to massage (warmth) & conditioning, the depressed marks will come up. i use this method on my chanel lambskin bags when the chains leave a mark on the leathers during storage.

I second this. I would also recommend that you apply *light* heat from your blow dryer to warm up the leather and help the moisturizer soak it in and plump it up. I have a Gryson Baladyne bag that although it's leather is quite distressed, ended up a with gash from a screwdriver right smack on the front. I applied conditioner and the blow dryer...worked with it *gingerly* (you can always do more, but it might be hard to undue any stretching that an overzealous hand can cause kwim?) and with some patience was able to blend it pretty well with the rest of the wrinkling on the bag.

As abarth suggested, stuff the bag so it's full, but over full cuz you don't want it to stretch that place out. Let the bag sit and 'gel' so to speak for a few hours.

Keep us updated!

I have spent the last three + hours looking over J's site.

I have my order narrowed down these 5 items for my wish list:

Mono Zippy Wallet (have now in Damier, would love a mono set)
Mono Pochette Cosmetique (Ditto above)
Mono Zippy Coin Purse (for when I carry tiny bags)
Mono Zippy Organizer (will line up nice and tidy inside my daily bag
with any of the zipper wallets--desperately need organization and will keep
my receipts, etc. in this so I can keep my wallet uncluttered--also hold a pen which is very helpful)
Damier Ebene Neverfull GM (or MM, can't decide)

I would appreciate any and all input on these items, as well as
if Jacky would be a suitable source in which to purchase them.

Thank you! :flower::heart:

ETA: Very curious...I wanted to see what would happen if I googled an item number from J's site just
in case one was ever mentioned on here, I wanted to make sure that it wouldn't lead to his site.
It pulled up the proper item, but from a bajillion different sellers!

I take it the style numbers are used across the board with other sellers? I suppose this could
be a good thing...?

^ those are Louis Vuitton's style/model numbers. you can find them on LV's website (when you add something to your wishlist) and on the boxes, tags, etc of whatever you buy.

HBDiva, the damier neverfull in the largest size is a great bag - I own it and it's perfect for the months when it's rainy and disgusting. Nice a durable and it holds everything, I do reccommend getting a shaper for the bottom and using a purseket with the bag... just to aid in organization.

Abarth, thanks for the tip. I love unorthodox methods. ;) I'll give it a try. I've already tried ... applecare, Collonil and some heavy duty German oil/gel used to soften and protect ski gloves?? Nothing worked! I stuffed the bag but I didn't really OVERstuff it like you recommended. I'll do that and keep my baby in cool temp afterwards :flower::flower:

I love how ladies/gents on this board can be so helpful. I have gotten so many great recs/tips from all of you! Thanks !!

Thanks thesiren. Unfortunately I am facing such a problem now and although the seller promised to do a full refund in the event that the bag is not as described, he has gone MIA now. iOffer isn't helping too given their policies that shirk all responsibility.

So..a warning to all those new to ioffer: make your purchases carefully! Even paying with Paypal doesn't mean your money is safe, Paypal doesn't handle item quality/not as described disputes outside of eBay.
