that's NOT off? just a little? in the real one, the "spots" doesnt have "holes". Jacky's has bunch of them. that's not OFF?
this discussion can be posted here, as long as it is on topic: how good/bad jacky's leopard mulberry is!

handbag - yes, the quality of the LV varies on the bag, not always the seller. jacky is pretty consistent when it comes to mono/damier and epi, but i do have a stellar damier from catty. if you tell us which bag you're eyeing, we can tell you if it's one that is repped well across the board or usually sucks.
Here is where I am as of today. In the mono, I have a Speedy 35 and a Multipli-Cite`. Love the Speedy but being a mom of boys on the go it's not always practical without a shoulder strap. The M-C isn't comfy for extended use because the straps are so wide and the bag is so boxy and structured it gets annoying. In Damier I have a Speedy 35 and a Cabas Mezzo. The Speedy has the same limitations as stated above. Love the straps on the CM, but I would love a less structured style....the pointy corners can get in the way. I do enjoy these bags very much and considering that one was only available by SO or resale and the M-C is long discontinued, I really want to keep them.
Second is the thinner straps. Are they too flimsy or out of proportion for such a large bag? Do those of you that have one (I am thinking the largest size as I am close to 5'8) do you find the bottom sags without putting a support on the bottom? Is the largest size HUGE?

bakedbeans - have you tried using a conditioner to moisturise those marks on your LV stellar bag? they look like pressed marks & not scratches.... if they are marks, worth a shot to try your fingers to massage (warmth) & conditioning, the depressed marks will come up. i use this method on my chanel lambskin bags when the chains leave a mark on the leathers during storage.

^ those are Louis Vuitton's style/model numbers. you can find them on LV's website (when you add something to your wishlist) and on the boxes, tags, etc of whatever you buy.

chukotka, its alittle unorthodox but i actually used my own body lotion (bath & body works body lotion) for such case. I would normally recommend to use a regular leather conditioner like meltonian or applegarde for normal leather maintenance. BUT for this case, i felt i needed a 'stronger' conditioner that can really work & soften the leather. I also use BBW body lotion if I need to soften my bags eg: jacky's hermes lindy bags, they come alittle stiff & rigid, so as to make them more floppy, i will just apply generous amounts on the leather to condition & soften the leather.
oh, & after you have massaged in the marks, do remember to stuff the bag to the brim (really overstuffed!), & leave it somewhere cool temp. - stuffing the bag will help to push the mark out/flatten the mark.
I'll give it a try. I've already tried ... applecare, Collonil and some heavy duty German oil/gel used to soften and protect ski gloves?? Nothing worked! I stuffed the bag but I didn't really OVERstuff it like you recommended. I'll do that and keep my baby in cool temp afterwards

madgal - i got a refund from a seller years ago when i ended up with a hideous YSL muse. just check their feedback and be up front from the get-go. make it clear you'll want a refund if the bag isn't what you want. usually from that a seller will be adamant that there's no returns/refunds/exchanges or they'll clearly be happy to work with you (in a reasonable manner) until you're satisfied.
