It's good to hear they're considering Olive--I have been yearning for a good GREEN. Does anyone else here miss a good green? I'm a fan of blackened colors because they go with a lot of outfits (esp in the workplace). I loved dark cherry, and am sad that I didn't know about NBF bags back then.

i want a DARK GREEN so badly. i'm craving a dark green work with GSH. really they've only done one true green and then VD, if you want to count that. i go back and forth on olive. i feel i dress to drab to do the color justice.

baga - i'm pretty sure jacky is working from an auth. when i emailed him about the luggage color, he said they were getting the bag in a week (which was late last week, i think).

My friend bought Jackys Alexander Wang Black rocco with strap and a black donna hobo.
The Donna hobo is 100% acurate. The Rocco is 97% accurate...the 3 things that are different to the auth are really minimal IMO.
We stood in Barneys with Jackys and literally compared inch by inch
1) shoulder strap is to long (but can be shortened)
2) handles are about an inch to long
3) The "Alexander Wang" logo engraved on the clip is a slightly different font to the auth.

Thanks Siren..I wonder if he works from all authentics, his LV'S and Mulberrys and so on..

Who knows what that means...he has had silver studs before as he made the rocco with silver studs..unless he is after the cupcake molded studs

Yes, a DARK green. It's been a while. I like Olive but it feels too similar to my galet, in terms of muted colors. Dark green with gold would look amazing. I'm sure dark green will be trendy soon--when you start wondering where it's been, it's been too long and it should be around the corner again. I want my RH city!

Ok, I'm still on the fence about the Noix colour even though the leather looks amazing..

I have a question abt fang's bals: how accurate are they and why do they lose out to T&D's? Is it because of the price?

So far what I've gotten from reading through is that fang's bags tend to have a smell and are more expensive..but not much else. I also noticed from her pix that her bals have square bales but other than that they look great.

Also: has anyone purchased any Miu Miu bags from her before?

I'm holding out for T&D to do olive. It's a shame that they can't do RGGH with olive because I adore that combination. And I would have gotten a RGGH Anthracite if they made PT but, sadly, a city is too small for me.

Any word on what spring colors they are planning to do? I asked them about Murier but they said it's too similar to raisin so they will not be doing Murier.

what do people think about jacky's black donna hobo? i'm lusting over the rocco and darcy but, i need outside pockets so the donna would be much better. i compared jacky's to the pics online and it seemed okay. any thoughts?

I have the authentic Donna hobo bought over a year ago at Holt Renfrew and it is the exact same (in terms of leather and suede trim) as the one on Jacky's website except for the zippers. The one I have is with the rectangular zipper so the suede parts are pitch black.

However, Jacky's is with the triangular zips and the new version I've seen in store is with way softer leather than the one I have and the suede part has some turquoise undertones. Jacky's leather seem a bit more thick and less distressed like the older version of the authentic bag with rectangular zippers.

But I guess for AW bags, the textures vary depending on the batches. And to be honest there's no real AW specialists out there who would know.

in other news, my outremer p/t has been used constantly and is showing wear on the corners. i'm gonna have to get more LMB stuff (shine restore?) to fix it. it's my fave bag and i don't want it to get too worn out.

i'm gonna wait to see the new anthra batch before deciding if i want one. the new bal styles (sorta velo-ish) are so awesome. maybe tnd will get one to copy off!

Ok. I just get the bale thing down where they need to have that little dip on each side. Now I hear something about square bales? I thought fang's bales looked just like b/s (who are supposed very close to auth?), so just what is this square bale talk? Help!

Madbalgal- I have bals from fang, buy/sell, and T&D, fangfangs bales are correct to auth and the leather is awesome I would order more bags from her in a second but the smell of the leather or dye she uses on them is horrible I bought my bag from her a while back maybe she has changed the dye she uses and it doesn't smell so bad now IDK but if you do decide to get one please let us know what your thoughts are on it, as I have stated amazing wonderful leather and details are all spot on!

oh my goodness I couldn't decide between LV vernis zippy rose or red either i went with rose but then I changed my order to RED I just thought with my black rocco and other bags that red would be more suitable so one for the red team also with wallets I prefer a splash of bright color just my opinion whatever color you get l'm sure it will be great!!

Orchidian - I have to agree with Crystal - get POMME! I'm not sure if you know but LV is supposed to be discontinuing the color pomme in vernis, so I would snatch it up as soon as you can. Amarante and gris are okay but pomme is more striking and gorgeous!!!

amarante is a great color too, it looks dark but changes to a different shade of color depending on the light..HTH
