amarante is a great color too, it looks dark but changes to a different shade of color depending on the light..HTH

Does anyone know if you have two Vernis accessory items against each other, do they stick or get scratched?

Orchidian - I have to agree with Crystal - get POMME! I'm not sure if you know but LV is supposed to be discontinuing the color pomme in vernis, so I would snatch it up as soon as you can. Amarante and gris are okay but pomme is more striking and gorgeous!!!

Pomme is such a gorgeous color in vernis! That's sad to hear that they are discontinuing it. Maybe it will be replaced with a color that's just as striking.

HandbagDiva: Amethyst_Sparkle ordered a vernis wallet and her pictures are great. She said it was great construction. Also, my friend likes her amarante alot. I'm not sure how close the colors are though.

Chicadee - thank you! I love lambskin more but I think I'm gonna go with caviar, it's just more durable and I think I would freak if my bag got a scratch! The pictures in Catty's Picasa look great, if the bags are better than Jacky's and reasonably priced I'll get one from her.

I'm trying to see what bags I need to get before I stop buying for a while.

Orchidian- my pomme wallet is still en-route from J so I don't know just judging by the pics it looks very vibrant but guess I will find out soon, I think there has been a couple of girls who have bought the pomme from him maybe they can comment but I think l'll be more than happy with the color

Shousesame It depends on what you like.. to me I need a bag for casual days, running errands, going out at night, dressing up, a clutch for when I want to carry a little bit of stuff. A handbag, shoulder bags, gold, silver.. of course that's a well rounded collection in my opinion, not necessarily what I have haha. Also I think it's great to have several brands just so you don't get tired of one style/brand/look.

That's a million dollar question! I think if I knew that I could stop buying I guess figure out exactly what you do each say month and then assign a bag to that task (say work=Mulberry) and then see if you have loads of bags for one task and none for the other

Which reminds me I have no clutch bags...

crystal7: yes, i find the ipad clutch case to be very sturdy. It's lined with same protective material found in laptop sleeves and is a quite snug fit.

I was in Selfridges today and got a chance to compare my Jacky Rocco to a real Rocco in store and my my but Jacky's is amazing!

The leather, the size, everything was perfect except the clip that attaches the strap is a bit too slim and the writing too shallow. Otherwise perfect! So to anyone who's not sure, go for it

Also saw the luggage rocco and it it divine

And if you want you can wear it without the strap and not even have that issue...was out with 1 friend with an auth rocco/brass combo and 1 friend with the jacky brass/combo rep...the friend with the auth had NO CLUE our other friends was a rep... we told her..she was in Jacky has a new customer
Chupi..do you think the brass studs on Jackys are a little less brass/golden colored..more of a bronze laquered varnish?..i mean its slight, and not a deal breaker as wear and the elements can oxidize metal, but we noticed these things when doing our autopsy!
I love the luggage color rocco...I also love the forest green with silver...and the grey..I love them all..haha
I also love the trudy tote...I live 3 blocks from Barneys so i visit them a lot!

This might be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway - who knows about the quality differences of Jacky's, Catty's (super?) and Fangs (cheaper) Chanels? I'm getting a Jumbo and although this forum and the other forum taught me a thing or two about Chanel bags, honestly I'm still a rookie. Obviously I'm looking for the best rep, for the max amount of about €200. If there's a Chanel expert around that can help me it would be so much appreciated!

one big slouchy bag
one structured work bag
one cross-body bag
one day clutch
one evening clutch
one bag that's big enough for an overnight stay

obviously we can go beyond that, but i think it's a good starting place for someone just starting their bag collection.

diorkiss - many people are happy with catty's chanels as of late. ame suggested emailing catty the exact pics of the fab chanel bags from this forum so she knows the exact quality you're looking for. i'm not much of a chanel bag girl (not the classics anyway), but if i were, i'd go with catty's.

I've decided on the Noix twiggy! - I figured the color seems very casual, and the twiggy just seems like a more laid back style to me...

So I put my order in for my Noix RH twiggy.

I also received my Black Chanel executive tote and quilted wallet from Jacky and I have to say, they're both beautiful. I am not too sure on the construction of the wallet because I honestly didn't take time to research, but it looks great (and I don't really care cause it's just always inside my bag anyways).

but i LOOOOVE the black chanel tote. It's awesome. Love love.

Hi DiorKiss! The biggest difference is the sides of the bag. Jacky's sides are sometimes inconsistent. With Fang, what I prefer about hers is that the width of the flap of the bag matches the width of the main compartment of the bag. Her sides are well-cut and they don't stick out. Also, the U clasp is more consistent. I think with J, the Chanels are great for the price, and I've certainly got some good ones from him, but some not so good ones. I have one Fang bag and it's great, but it was too much money.
