How about Jacky's LV Monogram Denim? Anyone bought it and how true is it to auth..?

Sorry, was too late to edit.. how about Jacky's LV Mahina too for that matter? The Mahina looks really elegant and different from the usual monogram canvas that's everywhere.. TBH I wasn't much of an LV fan because so many people are carrying it but that Mahina's really growing on me..

madbal - both are good from jacky. a few denim mono pieces were posted years ago (maybe 4?) and we had a huge mahina moment years ago as well. in the end, both jacky and catty had the bag perfected, i believe, but it took a few batches to get there (this was when the mahina was new to the market).

HandbagDiva: Yes the XL is gorgeous! I had the urge to order it in black, brown AND white! LOL. What colour do you think is nicer? I think the white'll get dirty in no time at all.. I saw a Taupe on the actual LV site, do you think J will do it?

Luna that is one of the best Chanel rep wallets I've seen so far. They are usually quite off on the quilting or some other detail is missing/wrong - the tote is also very nice. That would fit right into a corporate working wardrobe (like mine!)

Did you post more pics on the pics only thread? Never mind I'm off to have a look for myself. Congrats on your purchases!

I wish T&D would make black cherry, burgundy is a hot color for fall, although I have seen it on buy/sells site if anyone is interested

I would enjoy a red too! Theirs a lot of colors from the past I wished they bring back.

thesiren: I know you said both J&C perfected the mahina, but in your opinion who would you get the bag from? I'm hesitating coz Catty has the gray colour I want but her pictures on the site are lacking and I saw the posts other gals made about having problems with her..

here are some really low-fi images of a mulberry alexa and alexander wang brenda i got from jacky. sorry my pics arent as good as some of the others that have been posted.

the brenda is absolutely amazing! the leather is VERY soft. jacky really has done a terrific job sourcing this item. my alexa got a little bit squashed while shipping, i think i'll have to put a book in it to bend it back into shape. overall, im very happy with them both!

hey crystal the first is bigger..the brenda is more like a clutch on a chain...I love the brenda...What will you use it for Lucy?
Can you go X body with it? or just over the shoulder? I just bought a small (for me) clutch X body bag with a chain shoulder strap I posted it on the new purchases..I needed a 12 inch wide something for my wallet!

The AW Brenda is still on my list too! I debated several low slung mini-bags and ended up buying Catty's Chanel Mini (caviar/sillver) which is a decent rep but I hardly use it. I think the Brenda, being bigger and dare I say a little less "in your face luxury brand" would be an easier wear for me -- considering my age, income bracket and nosy friends!)

I am a sucker for black. I have a hard time finding brown leather bags that take my breath away. I prefer the 'naked' look of leather vs. a brown coated leather this is uniform in color.

I am curious to see which seller is preferred. I read that same about Catty...I got discouraged and gave up the hunt a
few weeks ago.

yup, this is the regular sized alexa! and no there didnt seem to be a way to shorten the strap on the bag on the brenda. it doesnt look like something that should be messed with. im sure if you had access to an auto-body shop or something that had sodering tools you might be able to! it hangs cross body and seems very useful!

100mph, you should get the brenda! the leather is SO soft. and i think the bag goes with most of my wardrobe!

Joy has the gray in the L and XL. LV.com calls this color Taupe.

I was suprised to read this on LV.com:

Luna: i love the noix color too. I can't decide between a city, day or part time. The problem is that noix was made in allstles with ugh and as ugh is becoming rarer and rarer I am considering it.

Also a big congrats on your Channel serf tote and Chanel wallet. They are lovely.

The siren: I think that the rococo in luggage with silver/silver combo is divine.
I also am after the Darcy Hobo with silver studs.

Cocoisadarling: I think that you will love the Alexa bag in plum in the regular size. I love mine and have been carrying her nonstop since I got her.

Bagalicious: Thanks for your informative review on the Alexander Wang bags. As always you are a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate your reviews. By the way a Barney Co-op store is opening in my neighborhood on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn this fall.

Boinguo: Dark greens are in this fall season. For my tastes they are always in. Balenciaga has a lovely green this season called cypress green and they will have a new gene for spring 2010 called military. I believe it is a deep cam army green. I think we should all write to TD and let them know we want olive green. They need to know that there is interest.

Sucre: Congrats on your vert d'eau clutch. I have the same one. Don't you just love vert d'eau?

I bought the Brenda from Catty and it's just not my type. I just find the strap too long and all the silver dangling together it just feels to punk for me.
