Two more questions and then I'll stop being annoying! I've set my mind on a Chanel from Catty but I'll push that back for a little while since I don't think it's the best decision for my first rep (I'm a poor college student so that figures...)
I'm getting a Speedy 30 and an RH Bal City first. I heard Catty's piping doesn't patina and Jacky makes the best LV mono reps (Joy doesn't ship to my country unfortunately)? And did anybody get a bag of T&D's last black batch, how was the leather?
I'm terribly sorry for asking all those questions but you gals just know a lot more than I do And I'm terrified of getting a bad first rep because it's so much fun learning and obsessing over all the bags, I really don't want to be disappointed with my first purchase and give up on reps altogether!

Luna, your tote and wallet are beautiful! Mine is the gold hw one, it looks just like that but the CC's are flatter.

DiorKiss, I've gotten a few pieces from J in mono and they look just like my authentic LV mono. I don't have anything with piping though so I can't speak to that but other than that the vachetta patinas well.

If you are talking about the black batch from June-ish, I got a black Day bag. My leather was shiny, thin, distressed, and veiny. The veins disappeared with 1-2 coats of a very emollient hand salve (I haven't tried anything high-tech like Leather Revive). With about 5-6 coats of same the shine was gone, and the leather looks really nice now. Still on the thin side, but in every way distressed, matte, and puddly. I think this bag is proof positive that no matter how unpromising the leather at first, with a little TLC you can have a nice bag.

I think people got a variety of different leathers out of this particular black batch though, if I remember correctly from reading the posts. I think there were pics of a Velo style for instance with very thick and soft matte leather.

Why are the studs on the side of the bag?? That looks so freaking weird. I've never seen a rocco look like that. It looks like a frankenbag

Cathy's look too gold, and Jackys are ever so slightly too lacquered, a little too brass. Someone over on tpf described the studs as:

"The studs are brass with a gold tone, but not what I'd consider gold like Bal GGH. The studs are truly brassy...they almost look kind of vintagey. They're definitely not a bright shiny gold like GGH."

And more importantly Jacky's leather is amazing, exactly like the thinner pebbly leather used in the auth

Ok - I placed an order for the LV Mahina XL in chocolate. Catty sent me pix but her mahina has the LV logo cut off at the sides.. If it's one thing I learned abt spotting fakes its that LV will never ever split their logo at the seams. I asked J abt it and he said his alignment was good so im taking his word for it. Will update again!

Hey Ladies..For all you 10 or so need a rose hardware fix....Check out the alternative...pic courtsey of buyandsell

buyandsell has this on there website..the hardware looks great...and so does the leather IMO...ask Kimair and Pinkprincess to weigh in as they have authentic Balenciaga's in RGHW.

I have a B&S bag and so do a few other members here and I think we were all THRILLED with ours..I know i was...And if the boys are not doing it...there is still a possibility here..Hope this helps

the studs on that rocco are brutal, but i have the diego (purchased from bagswap) that is from catty and is flawless. i have compared it to the auth and i cannot find a single thing that's off. my HW is darker/antiqued brass and the leather is beyond. i cannot speak for every AW bag catty sells, but mine is nothing like the bag shown.

b&s' RGGH bag looks terrible imho. the leather is so shiny/plastic-y looking. the RGGH is also way too shiny/bright. on the dark RGGH bags, the only thing that stands out is the front panel zip.

it's a shame t&d can't do RGGH. between everyone here and their private clients, they only had 10 pre-sold? that seems really low, but i guess the fact that they were only offering cities deterred some.

If you look at the pics of the bag on the B+S website I think it looks good..I guess diff strokes for diff folks..to me it looks way less shiny and plasticky than some of the last black T+D batch..from what i saw posted here and what some members had said about it
Again..its an alternative if you want rose gold hardware, leather can always be conditoned to make it less shiny...just sayin.
It was just a suggestion to ladies who want rose gold
Will be interesting to hear what Kimair or Pinky says as they have the real deal in front of them.

T&D has always been my first choice for rep bals...But if they are not making Rosey posey...To anyone who has never had a T&D bag...I would go with there's if they had the color and hardware that i wanted ALWAYS...If not then it's nice to have other options and choices to explore.
