I found a seller on Ebay that didn't mind shipping to Canada for a reasonable rate.....when I got the stuff the Apple Garde (rain/weather repellant) wasn't spraying, luckily my handy husband fiddled around with it and got it to work....but the pressure in the can had gone all funny. Alot of sellers on Ebay don't want to ship anything in an aerosal can, if this is the norm I can see why. Is this a normal occurance for anybody that orders Apple Garde (or any other aerosal product) and has it shipped internationally to you? I've heard conflicting info about the shipping guidelines, some say that it's illegal to ship aerosal (flammable?) can products internationally....others have no problem doing it. weird....

cornpops, i heard from a post office worker that it's illegal to send flammable liquid through the post. i guess some people ship anyway because they don't declare the item inside correctly. otherwise, the PO won't accept it.
when i lived in toronto (miss it!) i had a mishap with a marc jacobs quilted bag - slight tear on the leather. i asked holts for advice and they pointed me to sandalman leathercare located at davenport and ossington. they did a super job. might be worth a call to see if they carry the stuff -- or if they can recommend something similar. i'm sure there's some other leathercare gems out there that we haven't discovered yet. (personally, i have leather CPR, TLC and LMB in my leathercare box.)
ohhhhhmy it doesn't sound like the PS1 meets your needs. actually, reading your description re: heavy stuff has helped me decide that it's definitely not for me. (i carry the same things you do.) lots of pretty stuff at jacky's storefront, so i hope you find another one that you love.

eskielvr: I agree with pp113, I think your GSH Day looks great as well. I think the vert d'eau looks really good with all the hardware combinations. It looks really cool, not cool like how I'm cool, but cool as in a refreshing pool of yummy bag-ness. Me like! (insert cookie monster smiley here) The GSH/GGH are just two different looks. Since you live in a warm climate, I think you picked the perfect combination.
boinquo: Get something in Vert D'eau because you really love it - not because everyone else is getting one. You'll just end up being disappointed that you got something that you either didn't really need, or didn't really want. This is where the mania starts. You start buying all the colours that you just "have to have" and find yourself six months later with a bunch of bags that you don't really use. The vert d'eau is gorgeous however. Sorry you missed put on that Sang Twiggy, I almost bought that myself!

I buy auths at outlets only and other than that it's all reps (except Coach - which is totally affordable, but I hate everything they've put out in the last 18 months) I think complete shame is a way to describe how I would feel standing at the Holt's counter handing over $2000 for a stupid purse. One that can be ruined, stained, stolen etc. when I could have purchased one from NBF for just over 10% of that. Interestingly, just the TAX on that GH Midday (where I live) is the same price as an NBF Midday. I can live with my hardware not being shiny enough or my bale not having the correct curvature. I don't have a rich boyfriend or sugar daddy to buy me stuff (sugar daddy, like I would date anyone older than me - yeah, right! that's funny) So spending $800 on a plastic er, um I mean, coated canvas Speedy 30 is most ridiculous. I have a perfectly good one sitting here that I got from Jacky for $67. Besides, I'm not some 20 year old girl with a minimum wage job and ratty sneakers trying to pass off wearing a $2000 Chanel Flap. *About the LMB products.... are you ever able to pop into the States? I would think there are lots of mail-forwarding places just across the border and you could have your stuff shipped there and then pick it up whenever you go down (sorry, not sure how many hours' drive the US border is from TO). It can be worth it though, not just for the LMB, but other stuff too.

cornpops - the owner of LMB is actually canadian and travels to missisauga quite often to visit her grandkids. she moved to upstate NY after LMB blew up because it was far easier to conduct business with her clients in the US since several are shipping $$$$ bags to her for "spa treatments." if you are willing to wait for your product, she will likely ship it to you from within canada the next time she is there. call her...LMB is a pretty small operation still (just doing BIG business) and she usually is the one to answer the phone.
i also have to agree on fake designer shoes. ouch. never seen a pair of fake shoes that even remotely resembled auths. proportion is key with shoes and the proportion is especially bad on louboutins. even designer shoes DO NOT last a lifetime if you're wearing them regularly, so i can only imagine how long a pair of fakes would last.

I would get a Day bag as it is my favorite style from Balenciaga. It is not overly large or cavernous. There is alot of leather in a day bag and the leather drapes beautifully along the side of the wearers body. I don't have trouble with the strap staying on my shoulder either. A Solution for bad bag smells, including smoke!
Hi all,
I just purchased two auth. Tylie Malibu bags for $85 out the door. They're gorgeous, but the seller lied and told me they were from a smoke-free home.
That said, hubby saw them hanging on the exercise bike (that's all it's good for...
) in the garage to air out. After days, no real discernable improvement.
So, he goes running into the kitchen and grabs this bottle of spray called Ozium. Got a big box, sprayed the inside generously, and set my bags inside, turned upside down on top of a paint can. Sealed the box overnight.

OMG, to my huge surprise, the bags had NO SMELL the next morning.
May be something you guys wanna check out. Don't try it with a Hefty bag, though; the condensation might spot the bag. He said to make sure you invert the bag over a device such as an empty 2-liter soda bottle, etc.

shelleybean: ahhh, it's nice to hear, it's reassuring. I'll wait to see what galet looks like, or even if that twiggy for some reason gets back on ioffer. Yay. I'm trying to get rid of a few bags right now that I never truly wanted, and I don't want to be in that situation with VD.
I just paid for a Galet City RH and was informed that the first production is ready, but unfortunately I missed it. 
However, more Galet leather will be arriving in 2 weeks, and that will be when my bag is going to be made. I hope the leather is just as good as this batch! The comparison to the VdE is still ringing in my ears...

^^^ Late edit: Actually, there was a mix-up and they were talking about the batch of Black leather - so my Galet city is in this production! The boys have assured me that the leather is AMAZING, so I cannot wait.
So if anyone wants to order Galet, the still have some. They've also told me that a new batch of black leather should be arriving in about 2 weeks.

Just emailed the boys. I am definitely looking into getting a Day bag, as I really love the shape, plus I have heard way too many good things about T&D and think I need to test the waters for myself! Keeping Alexa on the back burner for now...
^^^ Drool. I'm hoping T&D's Galet will be like that taupey beigey 'greige', however from the swatches I've seen so far, it looks more like argent or light grayish. However, those photos were taken with a VERY bright light so it might have pulled more gray.
