I just received a galet city from nbf too.
The colour is slightly darker & nicer than nbf's photos on ioffer.
But like j0anne, I find the leather a little shiny and the smell has given me a headache.
So overall.... I am not feeling the way the girls who received their VD felt. Or maybe I had expected too much '''

Hi, I found fang's leather amazing and details spot on the smell of the bag was not at all like NBF's which does not bother me perhaps I am just too sensitive.

Hi Crystal7, pic2 would be more closer to real life. I find the colour quite unique. It's a lighter shade of grey under sunlight but in the room, it turns one shade darker. I hope that helps..

LOL I think it is the leather. Do you feel than this leather is less sturdy/meaty than your Officier and Outremer? I am kinda worried that it might tear at the place where O-ring holder attaches to the side (over time or if I put heavy stuff)

bisoubis - i have a RH first then the GH city, and the GH really surprised me how much weight it added - it was noticeable on the shoulder - overall its fine, but it was something i really noticed when i tried my GH and too a little getting used to.

re: the alexa wang i love especially the strap but it looks like the dimensions might be slightly off too, is that right?

Crystal7: I will of course I've been wanting a strap for my Rocco since I bought one a year ago so I just jave to go for it! It'll be 3 weeks as I'm going away for ten days then will order when I come back

Bisoubis: I actually think the difference in weight between rh & gh is insignificant as bbags are super light as it! I have a rh city and a gsh pt and I would never think oh god the gsh pt is heavy, it's a small difference

Chupi, sorry i did not mean to alarm you - this is the dimensions of the auth mini duffle with strap 13.5" x 9.25" x 9.25" ; 4" Drop - Jacky's shows 11"H x 13"L x 10"D on his webby.... i still think he has a beautiful bag - i'll go search to see if there is another size...

joanne, thanks for the debut pictures of tnd's real life galet. i was waiting to see if it was taupe-y so, your pictures definitely helped. it looks great to me but, i know what you mean when the anticipation doesn't meet actuality. i don't have a vert d'eau but, i'm forever ruined by the loveliness of outremer -- that was a wow for me.

kimair, thanks for the vote of confidence re: catty's goyard. not that easy to find goyard reps out there, considering they were all over nyc a few years ago. placing an order in a few weeks. will post pics upon receipt.

chupi, glad that you're finally getting a strap for your rocco. i hope the one you get ends up with the same yummy leather as the other rocco. that was spot-on.

AAAHHH! I hate waiting! After reading the reviews by JOanne and very_Shopaholic I feel like I must get my hands on my Galet Day now to compare! I have wanted this color forever and have such high high hopes for perfection after the recent great reviews of the last few batches (esp. VD). * deep breath*

Once all the chatter starts up on the thread I feel myself stressing out-- I'm just hoping that my bag comes in perfect. Just had to vent.

Not sure about the leather being less sturdy...I just find that its a little shiny for now.. I will take LadyLuxe recommendation

Hi Limmiet.. I didn't get the sang so I am not sure about the texture. It's quite close to the texture of the Outremer (if it helps)

carta: I guess we'll be bag cousins twice-removed. I have only ever seen one Goyard (and it was a St. Louis tote) IRL and the style I want - the Jeanne is certainly not known around these parts. I just think it's really cute.

I forget who it was that asked about the weight and deciding between the RH or GH City? Get the bag you like best, don't base it on weight, IMO the GH and RH Cities are two completely different bags. Go with the look of the bag you think matches your style the best.
