Finally! Some news about her collection:
"This used to be my second home!" yells Irina as we walk into 'What Goes Around, Comes Around', her favorite vintage store on West Broadway. "I would walk out of my house to get bread and milk and come back with bags and bags of vintage clothes, worth thousands of dollars!" Despite the fact that she is a bit more cautious and prepared these days, shopping with model turned musician Irina Lazaraneu is still quite the rock 'n roll experience. There's cigarette breaks, wardrobe changes, some singing, some dancing, and like any rock star befits all access touring of the entire store, including the exclusive, client-only basement. And who cares about the big "no photography" sign by the entrance?
Soon the 25-year old wild child will be adding a third achievement to her resume. She just finished designing her first signature collection, called Rini by Irina, launching in September in Japan under the Baroque umbrella. The collection is primarily based on vintage and will include flapper dresses, little jackets, seventies flower skirts and shirts.

Model Irina Lazareanu has just finished designing her first line of clothing titled Rini by Irina. The collection will launch in September in Japan and will include urban-bohemian staples like flapper dresses, floral skirts, and fitted, shrunken jackets. She recently went on an epic What Goes Around, Comes Around shopping trip with stylist Natalie Joo, and between the self-styled aviation cap paired with a filmy dress, the sweeping Navajo-blanket-made gown, and sequined get-ups, we have complete faith that she'll provide some Irina-branded goods worth grabbing. Here's hoping she goes the way of model-cum-designers like Kate Moss rather than Agyness Deyn.

Grazia has made no secret of being utterly enchanted by model Irina Lazareanu over the years. With her doll-like face, kooky style, constant hair reinventions and endlessly watchable love life (Sean Lennon? Pete Doherty?) she is one of favourite style icons du jour.
So imagine how very much it was a dream come true to hear that Miss Lazareanu has just finished designing her first line of clothing - Rini by Irina.
So far the only images out on the web show the up-and-coming designer on a shopping blitz at her favourite New York vintage store What Goes Around, Comes Around, looking for inspiration for her new line.
Judging by the crazy juxtapositions, - a (leather aviator helmet with a ruffly floral tea dress), tough girl cool (a sleeveless studded black leather biker jacket with snakeskin collar) and quirky elegance – an oversized beaded flapper dress; a bias cut evening gown made of bright rainbow-hued fringed Navaho blankets, ... the collection is totally going to reflect Irina’s own off-the-wall style.

She studied ballet in London before injuring her knee
She started modelling at 17
She met and started dating Pete Doherty at a party when she was 15, touring with him and his band Babyshambles in 2004, but was never their drummer as is often stated.
She was engaged to Doherty before and again after he dated Kate Moss.
In 2007 at a Chanel Cruise show in London, Lazareanu debuted four songs off her own album. Sean Lennon accompanied her on guitar.
She modelled Kate Moss’ first collection for Topshop
Both Nicolas Ghesquiere and Karl Lagerfeld have named her as their muses.

Wow this girl is really on fire or something!? I just saw her eatingk breakfazt wit a striped-shirt and oh-so-chic "gotta-have-em" amerikan apparel tapered jean. she looked like me. she also looked like arthur rimbaud earlier that day!!!!!! So totally styling. She doesn't give a krap that's why I wanna be on her.
