Is Bare Minerals Worth Buying?

I swear by Bare Minerals! I have hyper pigmentation, but it covers really well, which is such a rarity.

^^they are available in the HQHair shop in London (Burlington str.) and through their site of course: hqhair.com :flower:

^^Sephora only ships to the country they're in, for example sephora.com ships only to US, sephora.fr only to France etc. Sephora doesn't have a store in UK nor a website :flower: But that hqhair.com ships everywhere and they have a store in London too.

ooh.:( thank you for the info.

Has anyone tried the new Bare Minerals Matte foundation? I could use some help with oiliness, but I'm not sure if it's worth buying because I'm not out of the original foundation yet.

I haven't tried it personally but I've heard that it's great. The regular foundation does have quite a shine to it, so I'm curious to try the matte version when I run out of the original stuff ^_^

I have quite dull geyish corpse-esque skin with large pores and LOTS of blackheads ( I know its really gross). I was wondering if BE would work for me? It's just I am pretty broke so I want to be sure!
Also how is it on covering acne scars???

^ I have a few acne scars and just plain scars(new kitty in the house) and it covered mine great.

To be honest, I do find that it "settles" into your pores a bit, but a good primer should help even out your skintone and stop that from being too much of a problem.

I would focus on getting your skin to a good place before you try and cover too much up with makeup. :flower:

bequietspook, and anyone else considering it really, go to a Bare Minerals counter and have them match you to a shade and do your foundation and then you can wear it around for a day and see how it feels and looks.

I'm really liking Bare Minerals so far, the warmth thing gives a really nice healthy glow. Hasn't broken out my sensitive skin yet either, but it is a bit itchy for some reason. I can overlook that though cause it makes me look good.

Finding Bare Minerals ended my long search for the perfect foundation. I'm totally in love with this product.:wub::wub: It simply works for me. I always get a lot of compliments whenever I use it. Covers imperfections thoroughly and to top it all off, it leaves a beautiful glow on my skin. My skin is on the oily side and powder foundations work the best for me. Combined with MAC Blot powder, Bare Minerals last a long time without settling into pores and fine lines. So yes, it's definitely worth it. :D

Me too, I first used BM on recommendation of a friend who used to work for Laura Mercier, she moved over to working for BM and so I wound up giving it a try.

To be honest I do have pretty good skin as it is but always relied on foundation (more for confidence than anything else) I always used liquid foundations in the past, normally Mercier or Chanel. As soon as I saw how natural BM made me look I was hooked instantly.

I have to say though that I'm only really into the foundation, I find the eyeshadows messy to apply and the colours not really my taste; I've yet to try the lipsticks though have a couple of lipglosses and they're pretty nice.

The products i use are :

Bare Minerals spf 15 foundation in Light
Bare Minerals all over face colour in Warmth (only in summer, as it's like a bronzer.)
Bare Minerals Mineral Veil in sheer.

Also just to add I think the brushes are really good, and In the starter pack you get 3 brushes and its pretty good value, considering if you were buying them induvidually what they would cost.

Big fan of this range. I cannot recommend the Prime Time foundation primer, Prime Time eyelid primer, foundation, Mineral Veil, Flawless Definition Mascara and Faux Tan bronzer enough!

The Bare Escentuals Faux Tan fake tan is also very good. I wore it for the holiday season and it was a lovely colour, faded evenly and lasted for ages.
