Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez - Designers, Creative Directors of Loewe

Here I am! 🤪

Me, the official police of vulgarity here in TFS, should say that they are even more vulgar than Matthieu, because at least he was first and his basic post generated even some headlines.

Being the second is never good and even less when you are doing something cheap.

Verdict: right away to the kingdom of vulgarity! 🧑‍⚖️

The HQ are in Paris in the 9th Arrondissement and they have also offices in Madrid indeed. And the factories are in Spain.
But Paris is the main structure now as since the success of JWA.
Oh thanks this I know, but I can recall JWA having a part-time studio in Madrid too, in-between his Ibiza trips...
I'd be curious to see if the PS boys are going too spend some time there because Loewe is inherently Spanish and JWA really managed to get the coolest part of Spain in Loewe.

Free trips to Spain on the company payroll. They’ll be fools to not spend time there.
A visit to the factories and the artisans is always a good reason to spend time in Spain right?lol.

Maryam Nassirzadeh is now on the Loewe Paula's Ibiza team per Lauren Sherman so maybe we are looking at the past-their-prime millenial NYC design team build after all.

I know Delphine approached them about Dior 15 years ago when they were at their peak but this still feels crazy to me especially since someone of their same generation, gender, city, and design influences (Nicolas and Phoebe) will be taking over another LVMH brand at the same time. American RTW sensibilities might be white hot right now but is this really the answer to that...

I was at the Serrano store in Madrid (supposedly the first in the world housed in a beautiful Gaudi building) last week and the SA told me the PS boys were just there to view the store and `see what can they do`... free trips to Spain indeed.

The store was packed with people and I am a little surprised Loewe now has queues and you have to be attended by individual SAs instead of just walking in.
But I can tell they are really hard sell, keep pushing me things that I dont need or want, ended up buying some things, but none from their reco lol! Probably my last from Loewe since I have little hopes for the new designers.

The SA who was with you got, somehow, confused about the architectural facts.
Gaudí buildings are located mainly in Barcelona and in the north of Spain (the Barcelona Loewe store at Passeig de Gràcia is very close to Gaudí's iconic Casa Batlló, although not inside) ☺️
Maybe the SA wanted to charm you with some fancy storytelling, props to them.

Btw, love the concept "see what they can do" 😍

I… actually completely forgot the Proenza boys were doing Loewe. Not even that much time has passed since their announcement and I’m already oblivious to them.

It all just seems at such odds to what it is they’re capable of. Maybe I’m pessimistic, but I really don’t think their tenure will amount to much. Not in a bad way, but also not in a good way. Just in a mid “interim” way mainly to keep things stable.
