Great point! A lot of young actresses and all could pick up a lot of pointers for "todays" retro look by studying Jane in the 60s! What a doll!

Bah, haha, I don't think that Jean-Michel Jarre represents French men , or is the epitome of French men in any case. I can't stand him either but I guess that a lot of people wouldn't understand how someone like Serge Gainsbourg had a relationship with women like Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin , Bambou and other beautiful women. I like some French male stars , just as much as I like other stars from any other country...

Apparently, she was so desperate after her failed marriage with John Barry that she felt lucky that someone like Serge got interested in her. I have never seen a pic of Barry (I think he was much older than her also when they married...) but Jane has always been with genius (Barry, Gainsbourg, Doillon) and her 3 daughters seem to have inherited good genes as I think they are all very talented in their own way.

Barry was a very handsome (and brilliant!) guy in his day...Not at all like Serge.
