Jason Wu S/S 11 New York

A very beautiful collection, and definitely the best I've seen so far.
Strangely enough for Jason Wu, I absolutely adore the more casual, daywear pieces instead of cocktail dresses and gowns. I am absolutely in love with those high waisted, wide trousers, so Catherine Hepburn masculine femininity as someone mentioned earlier, I adore adore adore those looks!

it's a very nice and beautiful collection, but it feels like I've seen every, single outfit before.
not in the 'fashion recycles everything anyway sense' but in a he's really just taken everything popular and turned it into a collection

I might have to look over it again.. but I feel like he needs to create a signature style of his, I've never seen anything and thought; that's probably a Jason Wu creation. He plays it way too safe.

^ Some of the looks called the F/W Dior collection to my mind...like the opening number with the bow. I feel like it is incredibly deja-vu...however I do love the simpler, quirky pieces like the flower embellished mini dresses on Siri and Dorothea, although I don't really see them in editorial or on the red carpet.

^exactly and I saw a lot of YSL in them.. can't remember what season it was though

i actually kind of like the turbans haha. but not a fan of all the sheer fabrics/visable nipples...it just looks cheap to me.

It is cute! Most of NY is never really groundbreaking... but it's still adorable and super red carpet friendly. I approve.

I see: Chanel, Prada, Balenciaga, and Valentino touches in this collection. I don't like that.

Pretty collection for sure, young generation of Oscar de la lenta. The dresses were absolutely beautiful.

i don't hate it, but if you would have told me it's a charity fashion show with pieces from loads of different designers, i would see it.

there's some Dior, Armani, YSL, Prada.....

it's not 'bad', just a bit obvious.

I think Jason Wu is one of the remaining few that really understands a timeless beauty and not just trendiness.

i couln't agree more.
i like this collection. and while someone might say that it's "obvious and seen before", i really like it 'cos it feminine, it's cute, it's wearable, it's and beautiful. he escpecially had me at stripes, bows and flowers which are my weak point. so thums up from my side for JW.

this is beautiful collection. and the best is these clothes can touch a women of all ages... you can find there pieces for girlie types, young women but also elegant clothes - jackets, skirts and dresses aproppriate for 40-years old and older... beautiful

Glad this is getting a thumbs up from most of you guys.....i really think this is my fave collection from NYFW so far.

^ Maybe Jason didn't show us anything extraordinary and new, but he created a beautiful and wearable collection, so in my opinion he still did a good job.
I loved all of the dresses, especially the purple one Rose wore - and I'm pretty sure that one will be the hit of the season on red carpets.

I feel like Jason is kind of a 21st century Bill Blass meets Oscar de la Renta... as long as he keeps going in the direction he's traveling now, I really see him becoming a major, major name in American fashion.

this is stellar. the transparency gives this uptown look the bite it needs. for once, i can see someone besides the first lady herself donning these beautiful clothes. it's not revolutionary, but his vision is a welcome update to the idea of uptown dressing.

First collection I'm really liking!!! :crush: The materials, the cuts, the preppy and sweet look! It's not the most wonderful collection ever, but it's quirky and funny! :)
