Jil Sander Mens S/S 10 Milan

From NYTimes The Moment's Twitter.

"Final two looks at Jil Sander, paper thin short-sleeved shirts printed with portraits by Japanese artist Foujita....on boys with bowl cuts."

i like how its so chic yet really different... cant wait to see the whole collection then ill decide

What is so different about these clothes so far?

They are all so sterile and stale. Like hospital gear. Will have to see more but there seems to be nothing exciting here.

I'll for sure take a pair of sandals and the silver-touched dress shirt  ahh why not I will get some white pants.

The drawings usually look better on paper. Thats one thing I can't stand about design, you do something on paper it looks amazing and when you actually do it with real fabric, it doesn't turn out so great.

The only thing I saw that actually turned out amazing, was this dress this girl in my class made. She ended up using some of Lichtenstein work.

I like it so far! The illustrated shirts are lovely! Can't wait to see the full collection.

I like the sandals but I will never ever wear a shirt like that!

i love the tshirts, shoes and sandals! and that hair's really growing on me too lol

That's certainly not something I've been expecting, what makes it quite exciting, actually!

Ohh i really love the drawings! Out of the collections posted on here so far this is my favourite.

I think at least with the SS09 show there was more of a 'statement' with all the block colours and weird zipper and all. You either hated it or loved it from just one picture. But this seems kind of bland..

thank you! exactly how i feel...

uhh.. i really dont know what to say :( not liking this so far. the drawings ruin the clothes for me..

Does anyone have a Catwalking account? The full collection (without watermarks) should be up by now.

From GQStyle.com
The Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2010 catwalk collection had Raf Simons' typically clean and unfussy presentation, but still managed to incorporate masses of detail in fabrics and proportions. Heavily based upon the classic pique polo shirts, this foundation was used as a starting point for trenches, jackets, cardigans and reinterpretations of this style. The fabric lends a quintesentially summer feel to pieces. Colours used were restricted to whites and creams, with subtle gold highlights used as piping detail. Gossamer-thin nylon was also used for trenchcoats in a really clinical pale blue. The collection as a whole had a light, delicate and slightly fragile feel, although it still managed to feel adult and playful at the same time.

I like the drawings on the clothes but I don't know, some of them look like male nurses....I can't wait to see the rest, Jil S. never disappoints me.
