Jonathan Anderson - Designer, Creative Director of JW Anderson & Christian Dior

I think people should perhaps go back and look at the garbage Maria Grazia had on the Venice red carpet last year (or at Cannes, for that matter). Does anyone genuinely prefer the monstrosity below, on Jenna Ortega? That's just the tip of the iceberg. I struggle to think of one look that wasn't ill-fitting, froufrou, or matronly.

The anticipation for J.W. Anderson‘s womenswear debut at Dior is ruined, the amount of custom looks and lack of a red thread that would tie it all together (how exactly do those book tote bags fit into all of this?) into a precise message is one thing, the fact that *not one* of those looks really wow-ed anyone another. It‘s not about quantity but creating something precise and impactful - On that end, Raf Simons' couture debut at Dior remains untouched.

The Arnauds clearly think it’s enough to play the 'institutional authority' card with so much PR, associating with the right stars and all that will pay off in a crazy hype for J.W. Anderson‘s Dior.

In the end of the day I trust that people in the know can see through the fact that there‘s nothing game changing happening at Dior - Not a fashion moment with the means to lead the fashion conversation in the way Phoebe Philo‘s debut collection at Celine or how Hedi Slimane‘s Dior Homme did.

Yes, I will take all of those gowns over whatever JWA did at Venice Film Festival. And with all due respect, how are any of those gowns "ill-fitting, frou-frou, or matronly"? All of those gowns are made to perfection in terms of fit. And matronly? Are we looking at the same dresses? If anything the dress on Alba is matronly. Camille's dress is pure class.

Same actress, same house

Blink twice if you need help for the debut womenswear show

Did I miss any remarkable details on these two looks or are they just doing product testing for the incoming show? They both look so pedestrian that one is still stuck with the quite luxury trend and the other is like straight from Alexa Chung as one member pointed out.

objectively even if i am not a big fan it's a reach to say they are ill fitted or matronly especially compared to the new Dior by JWA ...boring yes repetitive yes ..JWA´s Red carpet dior is a new low for Pretty ugly Dior looks.

It's so awkward and embarrassing in movement! The length, the bow, the cocoon shape, and the plunging neckline... It will easily go down in history as one of the worst red carpet dress. To say that, I am any time for sexy looks like JLo's jungle dress but there is everything wrong about this dior look.

Ok, it seems like they have fixed their credits. It’s Dior custom and not Haute Couture. So they will likely be linked to the SS 2026 RTW collection.

Has the Venice FF pic of Greta in the classic bar jacket and skirt been posted yet? Can't be bothered to go back through the hundreds of posts.

She is not dressed by Dior...she is wrapped as a gift by Dior!
