Jourdan Dunn is Pregnant!

I'm not judging either. Of course it's her life- absolutely.

I was commenting on her career, and the fact that Kate Moss/Natalia - they all had something else (ie. bigtime 'mystiques') rather than just a tenuous foothold on the fashion industry. The fact is that the barriers for Jourdan are greater than that for Natalia or aforementioned white/european models.

that, and also the fact that Jourdan is only just starting to get established in the industry - will the industry be there for her when she returns? we shall see.

My first reaction was "WHAT?!" but now that the shock has worn off, I hope that she has a healthy baby boy and that she can bounce back after...or do whatever she wants. Good luck Jourdan.

I just finished reading everything.

I won’t lie I’m a little disappointed esp. since in interviews she seemed to have her head on and understand how difficult being a young mother was for her mum especially with an absent dad.
I’m not saying she should have abstained but I felt that she had the intelligence and tools to be smarter and protect herself.


I really have no comment on career I'm more concerned about her being a young teen mother. This is a whole new world for her to navigate and I sincerely wish her the best. I'm sure there's a lot going on right now: apprehension of knowing what to do, preparing to be a good mother, juggling her time, maintaining a good relationship with the father for the baby and for her if she is in love, keeping in good spirits during the pregnancy and just getting mentally prepared for this commitment.


That being said what is done is done and I applaud her for making the transition to expectant mother and taking care of her new responsibility and bundle of joy.She is a strong person. I'm sure Jourdan will be able to handle all the challenges and joys she will experience.

I've been a fan of Jourdan since day one. But I've got say, this is just disappointing. She was one of the few black models I could be so proud of with her achievements. Then this happens. That and I highly doubt the industry will give her another chance, beloved or not.

i was shocked by this piece of news. i even haven't heard that she had a boyfriend before, but now she has already become a babyboy's mother. anyway, congratulations to her.

however, i don't think it is a so right choice to give birth to a child when she is so young, 18? and she just starts her career in the fashion industry.

Wow! I'm not exactly following Jourdan's work but I always thought she is a great model and absolutely beautiful girl.
I'm sure she'll be an amazing mother aswell Even though, of course it's kind of sad that we won't get to see her on the runways or in mags that often anymore, but I'm sure she won't cut down all the work or even quit modelling at all. And her come-back will probably be even bigger!

I defenitely understand her fans, being a little dissapointed and all, but I think we all should be really happy for Jourdan, going her own way and following her dreams

So bummed Because she was just getting started though, not because she's too young. 19 is almost OLD to have a baby in England, sad but true.

That is such rubbish. The average age for a first baby in England has crept up to 27, not 18 or 19. English have them later than most other European countries, so less of your prejudices please.

Anyway I am really pleased for Jourdan, she has said before that she is in a relationship, she will be 19 when it is born, I am sure she has a really supportive family from previous interviews and above all IT IS THEIR CHOICE.
Girls grow up fast in the modelling industry, and modelling is business. In last 2-3 years she has no doubt worked hard, managed her money, managed her life and being much more mature and independent than the average 18 year old schoolgirl.

Jourdan's first interview since her pregnancy...

VOGUE.COM can exclusively confirm that supermodel Jourdan Dunn is five-and-a-half months pregnant with her first child. The British model and Vogue cover girl is sporting a perfect tiny bump and could not be more excited about impending motherhood.


"I'm real looking forward to the future and having my baby," Jourdan told VOGUE.COM this afternoon. "I'm lucky - I'm feeling really well. I'm healthy and happy!"


Jourdan has been with her boyfriend for several years and the couple are eagerly anticipating the baby's arrival in December. Jourdan has a close network of family and friends and has been receiving huge support from them too, as she prepares for her new arrival.


"Jourdan is delighted and really excited," a spokesperson for her agency, Storm, told us today. "She's had lots of lovely personal messages of support from all her friends in the fashion industry and it's great news. We wish her all the best."


The 19-year-old is the latest in a line of models - including Adriana Lima, Heidi Klum and Karolina Kurkova - to announce their pregnancies in the last few weeks. Following the birth, Jourdan will continue to work between New York and London as she does now.
