Kanye West Douche Watch 2009: Taylor Swift Edition

It doesnt matter if he wasn't picking on her. What he did was HORRIBLE. Period.

Yes. I am aware you have said many, many, many things... even though it is such a tedious and uninteresting topic that we all have taken too seriously and should have moved on from since page 6.
And what is it to you if I want to continue on, and on, and on, and on?

I second Obama! Kanya is a j*** a** and this is a part of a real world he is trying to describe... his appology is meaningless... what an a*** h***

you don't have to like Taylor or her music to see what was done to her was disgustingly wrong.

like Wendy Williams said, "Kanye only called her personally after watching her on The View?" (Wendy's facial expression------> :censored:)

The Hip-Hop community have been silent about the Kanye douche moment but at least 50 Cent spoke his mind. He's a realist. Props to him!

I think Snoop said something too.

I'm so glad Kanye's getting this backlash. Maybe it'll teach him some humility. And manners.

I wonder if Lady Gaga's going to say anything about this. She has an upcoming set of concerts with him.

The issue is more that mainstream American news media have gone down in quality and standards. Especially TV news networks: when you have 24h to fill and sponsors to please, quality journalism isn't top priority.
If you are bothered by the Kanye coverage infiltrating legitimate news, I suggest you turn off the TV and pick up the NYT and Newsweek.
That's what I was insinuating in my post which I thought was pretty obvious. I don't get my news from TV so I don't need to turn off the T.V since it's already off. Once in a blue moon I'll see what their talking about on mainstream news media. This blow-up of Kanye West is just another example of the irresponsible, lazy journalism happening in America. His douche-baggery has been blown way out of proportion. I shouldn't have to pick up the NYT or Newsweek to get substantial news coverage. Cable news was created as another outlet/alternative to newspapers & magazines. The fact that it has degenerated to Kanye West's MTV debacle making headline news and sparking actual panel discussion between news anchors is appaling.

why shouldn't it be news? VMA2009 was shown and will be shown worldwide. it's ENTERTAINMENT NEWS which is part of a coverage with all the other news. If you're not interested in it don't read it.

**concensus show majority read and watch Entertainment News more than any other news. Like it or not

why shouldn't it be discussed? young adults watch this kind of things. it should be discussed and it has been discussed but it's not as if it was one full hour of it.

there are many young and adolescents even adults that are very impressionable. to see what Kanye did is appalling and it should be discussed as well as a topic of discussion. it's bad enough bullying happens in schools and workplace and even homes we don't need someone of Kanye's stature to have his public outburst be shoved under the rug , just because it's entertainment? seriously!

I wouldn't say "HORRIBLE" ...
I would say inappropriate and rude. not horrible.

"Hungry Tiger" seems to be appropriate, there.

Totally.. I'm sorry but this has been blown WAY out of proportion. Yes he interrupted her moment but seriously get over it. Kanye is rude he shouldn't have done that but please.. he didn't necessarily MOCK her or TAUNT her he was probably just being himself. An arrogant person  It was stupid and disresespectful but hell its VMAS. Hes probably just trying to be funny.. :ninja:
Secondly its the entertainment industry.. I'm sure taylors had FAR WORSE rude comments directted towards her than that. What about the TABLOIDS that exist?! There been heaps of **** said about not only Taylor but SO many other celebrities.. why doesn't someone pick up a tabloid and make that headline news? "tabloid disrespecting stars in public"

I'm not saying its not rude or what Kanye did was stupid but its not all that big at all. Another stupid stunt...

^ I have yet to see a tabloid get up on stage when someone's accepting an award ...

Thats not the point I was trying to make but its disrespect all the same.. and I get it. Its rude but seriously does it need to generate this much news?

I had that feeling when a saw it too, BUT why would Kanye want to make himself look bad and let his fans down... I mean he is probably hated as much as chris brown now:doh:

You must be joking, right? What he did was messed up, but I think it is a...bit...different than assaulting a person.

^ I didn't mean it as if it is as bad as assaulting some one, I meant it as in since its happend so long ago and the whole thing about chris has calm down, and kanye did this now he is the next biggest d**k after chris...

Im not ignorant, obviously it's not as bad as assaulting someone..

Jeezuz! should Kanye be excused because it wasn't assault nor should be a big of a deal? the point is it wasn't the time nor the place to voice "one's opinion". He definitely bullied/picked on Taylor because everyone had said , and i agree, he picked on her because he knows she's 'safe'. she was the perfect victim, A TEENAGER. A YOUNG GIRL. That is simply wrong and why he's getting lots of disdain, disgust from alot of people. Racism is flying around, whether or not he purposely meant it, however, he sure has a history of publically doing this sh!t at white artists. Can't fault some from thinking that way. Then there was her family. This girl's mother was there too. How'd you feel being the mother? Taylor could be your sister, your daughter, your cousin, best friend, friend, next door neighbor, your neice. It's extra hurtful for everyone close. The whole thing was despicable and it is A BIG DEAL no matter how you slice it.

**tfs site puts policy on how we conduct ourselves because there are YOUNG MEMBERS as well as young people browsing this site. Why are some making light of Kanye's dissing Taylor an exception?
