I was done with this topic, but this comment gave me pause. His mother is dead, and even if she wasn't blaming her for his bad behavior is tactless and classless! A parent isn't always 100% to blame for their child's behavior, It ticks me off when people make that assumption.

No, it's voted by a group of judges I believe. The award voted for by the public is Best New Artist.
And the public is not always right (robert pattinson winning over dev patel at the teen choice awards, for example-with the same group of people who would have voted). None of the choices were good to begin with, and the people watching aren't exactly...exposed...to some really good music. Yes, someone had to have gotten the award, but it doesn't mean anyone truly deserved the title, Best Female Video.

But that's your opinion, since when someone's opinion turns into a fact?

Well i can't stand Beyonce, Kanye, and I only heard one song of Taylor, so what? It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it but does not that give me the right, because my tastes are not receiving awards to be arrogant and disturb someone else's moment.

I get what you guys mean, honeycombchild and les saucettes. My reasoning on my post is off topic and hard to explain, but let's just say we have different opinions on things and that's a good thing

Anyway, this seems like the Chris Brown incident. No matter what he does, says or how much he genuinely means it, people are never going to forgive him for it.

More people that I've seen have criticized Pres. Obama for calling him that name, I think it's kind of annoying that they're making him out to be a god of some sort that can't do anything wrong-yes, he's powerful and intelligent, but at the end of the day he's human, and will make mistakes. Also it really isn't that big of a deal-he kind of was...that description.

I don't think it was staged. If it turned out it was, I wouldn't be surprised, but since I'm on the "it was real" side, it was still really immature and rude.

What major businesses don't want to associate with him?? Kanye will not suffer for this. His fans don't care what he has done. Kanye has not committed career suicide. As long as Kanye keeps making hits and good music people will over look his behaviour. Will he get invited to award shows. I don't know.

As for the celebrities. Please, them and their hyperbole twittering. They will be partying with him in no time.

Best believe Taylor and Kanye will come out with a song too.

The most talented individuals usually have the most humble hearts and minds. If you are that amazing at whatever it is you do, your work will reflect that, not an infinite, unnecessary ego. He has always been a loud, entitled, self-satisfied individual. It is hard to understand how one could lack so much self-awareness and overall empathy. It is truly disturbing and says a lot about society in general. His life must be so sad and empty. Fame is a scary thing.

Artists are known for their artistic temperaments. Sure there are those who display humility and politeness, but those are the rarity and that's why the public react so positively to them. The list of artists throughout history who have famous egos and were prone to violent outbursts can go on for pages. Compared to them, Kanye might seem as harmless as a bunny.

Artistic temperaments and childish, egotistical rants are not one in the same, sorry. Kanye reminds me of Karl Lagerfeld in that respect. So many ppl. have such low expectations of 'talent' that these two a**holes are given free passes to go around humiliating others left and right all b/c of their 'artistic genius'.
