Poor Taylor, she seems like such a sweet girl and Kanye was nothing but rude as hell.
I dont really like Beyoncé but she was such a darling by letting Taylor finish her acceptance speech.

I highly doubt Beyonce called Taylor on stage as part of damage control for Kanye. It was clear Beyonce wouldn't be successful at pulling that one off. I truly believe it was due to the fact (as Beyonce somewhat put it) she was 17 years old when she was nominated for an award with Destiny's Child and remember how it was being 17 years old.

He can more than rap. He was a successful producer for years before becoming a performer. One, imho, of the most influential/talented hip-hop artist in the last decade or so.

Ego is always part of identity when it comes to truly gifted people.

Kanye, an international superstar, was a massive douche to one of the most popular singer of the moment (10 millions CDs sold) on a live TV programme watched by 27 millions people. This is being discussed on gossip website and entertainment programmes as well as news programmes. What is shocking about that?
If we're still talking about that by Friday, I will agree it's too much but 48h of backlash is nothing.

I loathe Talor's music but why should someone be humiliated like that just because I don't like that person's music.
I trash celebs I don't like all the time on the net. But I don't jump on-stage to ruin their moment.
Had Kanye dissed Taylor in a hilarious cap-lock rant on his blog I would have given him a high five but that's was just rotten.
People are really forgetting what decency is and that is sad.

I don't see how Kanye's 'genius' (a matter of opinion, imo) justify his doucheness. Was MJ a douche? He had more talent in a finger of his white glove than Kanye will ever have in his lifetime yet he was always uttermost respectful of fellow artists.

I don't think it was damage control to help Kanye but to help MTV.
Taylor has said she was asked to stand on the edge of the stage, so clearly the management had a talk with the nominees of the last award before-hand and it was understood whoever won would give up it's time for her.

I also don't think Beyonce would have done that unprompted or out of uncalculated kindness.
This is the girl who didn't send a world of condolences to her Dream girl co-star when her family got murdered because she was fuming about the Oscars and who, if you believe Lainey's blinds items (which I do), think she is more important that a potentially dying person in an ambulance.

Honestly, I think Kanye was wrong, but all I could do was laugh when I saw it, because he just appeared so ridiculous to everyone...if I were Taylor, I would have been laughing at him, especially after his antics in the past.

I do, however, think people tend to forget just how much of a "big deal" Kanye is to the music business...he has incredibly influential in the careers of many artists today, including Jay-Z...I still like his music!

I agree with the statement about Beyonce being coerced by MTV because Taylor said she was asked to stand by the stage because something was about to happen so Beyonce must have known she was getting the award before hand and it was quickly put together before she accepted the award.
Kanye needs to take some time off because I am tired of seeing him. i don't think he is sorry as this is not the first time he has done this.
