oh his many houses! biarritz, monte carlo, rome, hamburg, rue de l'université...

that's a lot of googlemaping you'll have to do ilaughead

:o

On Tuesday, January 26, Karl Lagerfeld and his usual beauties will shock le tout Paris by eschewing the Grand Palais in favor of Pavillon Cambon-Capucines on Rue Cambon. Two shows will be held at noon and 2:00 p.m.

And Borja, you have no idea how much I've tried to find the Biarritz house...I think I need more footage/clues first.

^Yeah, it was. And I wasn't all too impressed by the flowers that were supposed to make up for it...

I remember that it was one of the less exciting Chanel shows for me. The collection itself, the venue, even the soundtrack. I'm always partially excited for the cosy presentations (as well as I was when Dior announced they're going back at Avenue Montaigne) and I hope it will work this time.

To save money?

money seems an odd reason... i mean, you just dont do the big-kaiser-bang-bang-shanghai-craze-wooohoooooooo in a larger than life boat, and then scale back to the tiny pavillon in rue cambon for the money, no?

the last time he made some "funny" joke about the show being in an ancient bank (where ze money iz, hmmm?) i wonder what he'll say this time and what the decoration will be like (i did like the flowers and the paper and the hairdos and the collection in general)
the most obvious recurring excuse is that couture is much better if seen up close.
amanda was just telling me the other day how the models are going to be walking around with numbered cards in their hands, like it used to be hmm?
oh wait, was i supposed to let you know this? she may have mentioned that too... ooh the bottles of Piper... what they do to me!!

i guess we can only hope he'll do Grand Palais again for pret a porter. his shows just arent the same when there's less than 2000 people in the audience.
it's much more... it makes the point chanel shows are more like rock concerts, no? and karl is the star of course B)

^Too late for me. I'm pretty sure it's sitting on a table across the room from me now. Shrinkwrapped. And after seeing that, I think it's going to stay that way...

He'll need that Samurai armour when the Chanel Ninja Lawyers come after him.

At least then the Chanel Ninja Lawyers will finally have a use for their infamous guillotine.
