^ I agree! And the guy who did Lagerfeld Confidential said he would drop by unannounced on a Sunday morning and Karl would be home alone and reading or whatever, and was still dressed exactly the same way! That is him- I wish I had that kind of commitment and discipline....^_^

I remember a similar part from LC, I think, Karl is getting dressed by the window before sunrise and he puts a pristine white shirt on. Such a private Karl moment, he's sans the usual sunglasses in that scene. B) Didn't look like he enjoyed to be filmed like that at all. Or maybe he's not a morning person.

 If Karl's style is horrid, then the rest of the world is doomed. I can't think of anyone, real or celeb, who has such distinct way of dressing without being (too) trashy or boring beyond imagination. I mean, should Karl dress a la Kennedies, ill-fitting suits and polo shirts? :yuk:

Oh please I would never wish the Kennedy's wardrobe on anyone thats even worse. I shiver at the thought. Im just saying He wears one of those ridiculous collard shirts all the time which is an eyesore. He is almost always wearing Black Jeans/pants and Black Blazer/coat. He wears an absurd amount of rings like someone is going to steal them. I Searched Karl Lagerfeld on google images and its the same things over and over. Don't get me wrong he is a great designer and has an eye for things many don't have. However I don't feel he should be able to criticize someone on there look when he never changes his.

I think it's great that he "never changes his" look, it's a nice sense of stability. But it's really not quite true, because he used to wear more metallic gloves and rings and skinny ties, and now he's kind of in a colored/patterned shirt and necklace phase. Tiny differences, but they're there to the well-trained and mildly creepy eye.

Oh dear you are talking to the wrong group of people. Of course you have a right to every opinion its just Karl you cant mess with him.

^ And, let's not forget the grey jeans with matching boots, metallic silver baseball jackets (Dior):crush: and the bulky black turtleneck sweaters!! :woot:

^ and all white looks in St Tropez.

See, it's such a variety of outfits ^_^

Oh dear you are talking to the wrong group of people.

I think he gets it by now. :ninja:

It isn't always the same blazer and the same jeans. It's always the latest thing!
And there was brief period of time when he rocked the striped shirts and jeans that weren't black.
And those rings are different every time, not the same. No wonder, he has like 647674016 of those.
And the gloves change too, color, finger lengths, textures.
And the shades change...
And... And...
Ok, I'll stop now. ^_^

Of course he has changed a lot his style! The ties, the sunglasses, the jackets, the trousers, the jeans, the gloves, the shirts, the shoes/boots...

He's the only one whose way of wearing I really like.

it's not like you all don't have these already properly archived in your computers or in a dedicated wall in the living room, but just in case you want to "refresh" your memory

btw, boomer, i'm sure you could! it's all about the dry shampoo, hmmm?
you see the kaiser loves the look of those 18th century portraits, with their velvet jackets all powdered because of the dry shampoo... c'est le coooooooombe du chic, you know? dont we all know which portraits he is talking about? i mean, "thoooose" portraits.
they are beyooooond, hmmm?

^ He credits was it Count Harry Kessler with his collars and ties? I was trying to find a book about him, there actually is one..I'll get the title... B)

Here it is: Easton, Laird M. (2002). The Red Count : The Life and Times of Harry Kessler. University of California Press Berkeley and Los Angeles. ISBN 0-520-23035-3.

and his Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Graf_Kessler
