Sorry. I wasn't aware that you knew him and knows he smokes. It's unfortunate if she picked up this bad habit from him. Hopefully she'll get a mind of her own and quit. Smoking is most unattractive and stinky.

I think Kate picked up smoking when she had to do it for her role in Wonderland. That's how alot of actresses get hooked, practicing for a role. (like Salma Hayek in Frida)

i believe she was accepted to Princeton (go Kate!) but deferred for several years. i think it's safe to assume that she won't be attending anymore.

That's so good for her, but I think if I were in her position I would continue acting, as well. Such a small proportion of actors/actresses actually make it to her level and if you've got the opportunity, go with it! She has such a bright future!

Haha, I'm just being silly, I'm sure she had great marks at school, she seems like a very intelligent, down-to-earth girl.

Just to clear things up orlando smoked then stopped around the time he was filming LOTR, stopped smoking while with kate, but apparently started back on (a cig like every so often like once or twice a week, that kinda thing) after they broke up, so in January. I was just saying I don't think she picked the habit up from ob b/c for the duration of their time together he didn't smoke. And I think it's a pathetic accuse to say "oh im smoking b/c you know my boyfriend does, and since im always around it i just got into it to". BLAH. I hate ppl who say that. All of my friends drink and smoke and im around them every day, that gives me the motivation not to drink or smoke b/c of the way I see my friends get out of hand and how they have to rely on an object to stimulate them, they're just stupid kids. I don't mind it so much when adults do it b/c hopefully you’ve grown up and know what your doing. It all depends on the person some ppl I know look stupid and pathetic b/c they smoke, like they are trying to fit in, and others you can tell do it for they're own satisfaction, if I had to pick id chose # 2. But who really cares why she or he or anybody ells smokes, I don't really care why ppl do what they do just as long as I know myself, why I would or wouldn't like 2 do the same.

I might be a bit late, but I used to smoke and I still do it when I get really stressed out/depressed/miserable. I don't think it was Orlando that made her smoke. I agree with the woman that said she probably picked it up for Wonderland.

I don't like that white dress outfit. She looks too fake in it. She looks so much better, to me, when she was younger and "fuller" I don't know how to put it lol! No I am NOT calling her fat by any means. HA!

Her hair just seemed less friend and her smile seemed more genuine. I don't know. Plus her face was cutier.

^^^ He he, no i totally know what your trying to say. She was cuter when she was younger b/c she looked more healthy, with a nice natural glow, she was fuller in the sense b/c she was more toned, now its kinda just meat and bone, no real nice healthy glow or look to her anymore.

And I think you might be right about the Wonderland thing, it makes sense. She didn't smoke when she shot/after Blue Crush because in the commentary she mentions that she could hold her breath for so long underwater because she was a non-smoker.

Aaanyway, back on topic. I'm glad she's moved out of the stage of just wearing black. She looks so gorgeous in colour - I'm glad her stylist encouraged her to try new things...
