Kate Moss denies marrying Pete Doherty

LONDON -- A spokesman for Kate Moss denied Tuesday reports the supermodel and rocker Pete Doherty had tied the knot during a candlelit Buddhist ceremony in Thailand on New Year's Day.
Stuart Higgins said Moss, 32, was vacationing in Thailand, but hadn't married Doherty, frontman for Babyshambles.
"There has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday," Higgins said.
British newspapers reported that Moss and Doherty had held the ceremony in the Thai resort of Phuket. Neither the Sun nor the Daily Mirror provided sources for the information. The Mirror quoted an unnamed friend of Moss as saying the ceremony was an expression of the couple's mutual devotion.Higgins called the reports "entirely false."
Moss and Doherty were reported by British media to be staying at one of the island's luxury resorts—the sort where guests have their own private swimming pools—but hoteliers were discreet about the matter.
A spokeswoman for the Amanpuri hotel, contacted by phone from Bangkok, denied the couple were staying there and said she had no knowledge of their whereabouts, though she had received many calls asking about them.
At the Trisara, a high-end resort and spa that opened in 2004, General Manager Anthony Lark said: "We don't talk about any of our guests. That's just something we don't do. We have a very simple policy of protecting our guests."
He said prices at the resort started at $1,000 a day and went as high as $6,000 for a five-bedroom villa. Asked what guests get for their money, he answered: "Privacy."
The Sun said the ceremony wasn't legally binding in Britain, and named Jan. 18 as the pair's official wedding day. Both papers ran blurry images of the couple; the back of Moss' head, her hair pulled back, could be seen, and Doherty, as usual, wore a trilby hat.
Moss has modeling contracts with companies ranging from Louis Vuitton and Chanel to Topshop.

Moss finished with Doherty earlier this week, just days before she left for Dubai with daughter Lila Grace.

According to a source, the Brit model reportedly told the 'Babyshambles' frontman that there was "no chance" of the two tying the knot, or raising a family together.

"Kate told Pete that there's no chance of marriage or kids," News of the World quoted the source, as saying.

The insider also revealed that the madly-in-love Doherty was not too pleased when he heard Moss' final decision.

"She laid her cards on the table and Pete flipped. He doesn't want it to end-he's so in love with Kate," the source added.

"Pete phoned his mum in tears. He was inconsolable as he cried down the phone-he really thought they would get married soon," said the insider.

And, it seems that Doherty's mum was so worried about his state of mind that she even called Moss and begged her not to leave her son, lest he end up dead.

"So Jackie called Kate and begged her to stand by Pete in his battle with *****. She warned Kate that if she left him now, Pete could end up dead.

"Her argument was that Kate is the only person who's really trying to help Pete kick hard *****.

"Jackie told Kate that without her and her arrangements for rehab, her contacts and her caring nature, Pete will sink into total chaos."

However, though Moss reportedly assured Doherty's mother that she would always stand by the rocker, it would be as a friend and not a lover. (ANI)

It seems that those reports about Kate Moss waving goodbye to Pete Doherty are not quite so true, especially since she is reportedly planning to buy a remote love nest for them to get away to.
British paper the News of the World reported on Sunday, Feb 11, that the model had broken off her relationship with Doherty, causing the rocker to 'flip'.
"Kate told Pete that there's no chance of marriage or kids. She laid her cards on the table and Pete flipped. He doesn't want it to end-he's so in love with Kate," the source added," the paper had quoted a source, as saying.
However, a close friend now insists that the two are very much together, and that the British supermodel is now on the look out for a safe place for him to be at his most creative.
"Kate keeps getting frustrated with Pete, but she cannot leave him. She feels let down by his constant broken promises but is torn because she absolutely adores him," The Sun quoted the pal, as saying.
"Kate has been through her own "problems" and knows the only way he will give up is if he breaks the cycle. If he is away from the guys who feed him "bad stuff" then he might have a chance at escaping the hold addiction has on him".
The pal added that the model was now looking for a house similar to the one she has in the English countryside, only more remote.
"They love escaping to her house in the Cotswolds but Kate wants to get somewhere even more remote than that. If it is her pad she can control who visits and who doesn't. She says she doesn't want anyone there except her and Pete," the pal said.

I THink people forget 'freedom of choice' here. well especially wen it concerns well known and much photographed 'celebrities' in this case Ms Moss who we (well posting ppl) have come to adore/like and so somehow now ppl think they know whats right and wrong for her. personally i find this both sad and pathetic, firstly shes a bladdy grown up woman (early 30s!!) and has been with him for near 2years now, so like it or not, clearly she sees something, that you (by which im refering to the PDoherty bashers/haters) dont see or get!!
