Kate Moss For TopShop

i bought the original pansy/tea dress and i winded up ebaying it. it was really nothing special. the pansy dress that nicole richie wore was much nicer in my opinion.

but I still want it. bady.

I got the original pansy dress too. I think I wore it about every other day over the summer. Strangely enough it's still in really good condition. I've thought about selling it because I think I could still get a good price for it and because I don't think it'll transition into winter well but, I think I'm going to keep it as a "collectable item" instead.

^ thick tights ;) I think Kate used to wear the dress [before she hacked the bottom half off] with black tights, fitted jacket, waist belt and black boots. look quite cute to me.

I saw this wicked outfit the other day. the pansy dress was worn with doc martens and a cropped, beaten up leather jacket.

interesting story and graph from the dailymail.co.uk
Topshop Moss sells for twice the price in U.S.

Shoppers have been flying to New York to snap up fashion bargains for years. But now the tide could be turning - and it's because of the Kate Moss effect.

Barneys, one of New York's most iconic department stores, is charging its customers almost double what Brits pay for elements of Kate Moss's Topshop collection. The current exchange rate is about $2 to the pound, but this doesn't seem to be reflected in many of the prices paid by American fashion shoppers.

Much of Moss's spring/summer range is equal to the UK price tag in the current Barneys sale, yet many of her new autumn/winter clothes are selling for much more.
It means US fans of her designs may decide to fly here for a better deal. The light blue Seventies flare jeans have a £50 UK price tag, but cost $158 (about £79) in New York.
Her black mohair jumper with hole detail is on sale for $198 in Barneys, roughly £99, even though it sells for only £55 in the UK. But the biggest mark-up is on a silk chiffon flowery smock dress. It's £100 in the UK, but New York fashionistas face a $425 price tag - at £212.50 that's more than twice the UK price.
A Topshop spokesman said they didn't have jurisdiction on prices, adding that import costs and taxes could push up US prices by almost three-and-a-half times. Barneys declined to comment.

I tried that and it just didn't look right. I tried wearing it over jeans and under a blazer and that looked alot better but still I think the pattern and fabric just aren't very wintery.

maybe not winter but it might work for Autumn. If you cant make the dress work you can just send it to me

can someone tell me whether that blouse is from a limited edition? I'm certain it was made specially for her line as she already owns a very similar (go figure) star print blouse by bella freud...
if not,I assume it's from the upcoming christmas collection.

Have anyone seen these boots in the shop? I only see it online. How does the leather look? The leather seems cheap! How about the brown?

danabnormal, could the top be from bella's biba collection? i like it a lot.

i tried on the cross back vest with neck tie. (us 58$ at barneys on topshop's website = 40$) it fit really well. but it made my nips really stand out.

did anyone buy this? if so, what type of bra should i wear with it. i fear anything i might have might show thru the fabric too much.

Kate seems to like that look.:innocent:

I bought the cropped leather jacket and just got it in the mail today. The leather on the zip leather jacket in the first collection is so much softer and better than this one! I don't know how much wear it'll take to break this in with time but I am debating whether to keep it or not... I like it, it's an easy jacket to throw on and looks cool (though slightly boxy due to the leather not being as soft), but am not sure if I'd prefer to be $300+ richer without it. Those who own it, any thoughts? How do you like yours?

I tried that at first but the background of the dress is dark blue so it looks strange against blue tights and a blue blazer. But I tried it with dark blue tights and a blue blazer and it looks a lot better. Now I just have to find shoes that match.

btw did anyone else see the detail on the butt of the grey skinny jeans? It's pretty neat.

she needs to get rid of that hideous blonde wig fast...its even more ratty than her own hair. whats the point.

Yes, that editorial really doesn't grab me, there's something a little cheap'n'nasty about it, and the clothes... :innocent:

I am soo disappointed with this line. I very nearly got caught up in the whole Ebay thing searching for the pansy dress. However, having just seen a yellow floral print mini/top thingy in a Singapore Topshop - poor quality and bad design. Shame on Topshop - it's really bad when they often come up with real gems in their own name collections. I have a blouse from the latest Celia Birtwell collection and the print and design is first rate even if the quality is so-so. However a lot of the Kate Moss stuff is heinous and particularly the knitwear which feels and looks as if its been through a dryer on the super hot cycle. I just love the way the label it as "with cashmere". It certainly doesn't feel or look like any cashmere was involved in any of this crap!

In my opinion, this collaboration with Topshop isn't upping Kate's profile in my eyes! She should have stuck with the modelling!

hmmn, the clothes from ID magazine arent that bad...i like the studded jacket.
