this is so surreal...

watch here:

i remember seeing this episode never in a million years would i imagine that girl w/ the understated brown ponytail would be one of todays most famous singers...

i love the idea of how she went from absolute obscurity to super stardom.....
just goes to show any one of us could be the next big star :D

oh so she isn't just born like this? like super artsy and original, like I am so shocked

I find myself looking at backing dancers or singers, wondering if someone is at the early stage of turning themselves into a famous performer. The next superstars are out there somewhere - anonymous at the moment, but soon enough, everyone will know their name.

this is interesting because i remember hearing her say that she has always been and dressed exactly like she does know...

the past always creeps back up with you, leason learned.

Haha, I remember that show.

Well at least she's looked like a girl there, same doesn't happen right now

Such a talented performer. The clothes may be more fabulous now but she has always had a gift for expressing herself with music.

She is the FAKEST celebrity to date. It amazes me how she and her team try to pass off the silliest crap as being "creative" and anyone who doesn't understand her appeal isn't "avant garde enough". There is a difference between having a natural love and curiosity for the obscurely artistic, but to put on a show and pretend to be a COMPLETELY different person EVERY DAY is fake. It's not artistic, it's not commendable. It's fake. It's a money-making ****-fest to lure in the fashion impaired - and the Madonna-preaching gays - to believing that being fans of this chick will bring you to the level of understanding art. Sure she can sing, and if her little show didn't disgust me to the point of wanting to vomit everytime I hear someone speak of her, I might even enjoy her music. Her disgusting persona overshadows any talent she may have. I'm a stylist, but I'm not going to staple a raccoon stuffed animal to a hairpiece, glue some artificial plastic fruits to a perfectly gorgeous Gaultier piece and paint my lips like a china-doll and call it art. People who fall for this crap make me sick. It makes me sick to think people can be so stupid.

Well, I got that off my chest.

/end rant.

One more thing... everyone who thinks her crap is artistic and "hot" should stop for a cool second and think about what she is putting out there. Everything from the way she sings to the way she performs to the way she speaks, sounds, dresses, and the content of her photographs and lyrics, video concepts, etc are PLANNED OUT AND REHEARSED TO ONE ULTIMATE GOAL. For you just need to examine her symbolism. If I have to spell if out for you guys, I will, but I think many of you should be smart enough to have already figured it out - and it's disgusting.

ITA the recent gay rights march singing Imagine was extremely pathetic but she is the media attention wh*re of the year.
She is as genuine as Britney when she came out with her 1st song. But i guess the ringtones generation needs their 2p idol?
