I totally loved this collection. I hate to use fashion cliches but for me, it had all these details that made such an interesting play on contradictions - ladylike but funky/almost overtly sexy, feminine but strong, dark mixed with light, romantic but modern, etc Totally LOVED those obi, origami, twigs, details.

I need to get those gorgeous black shirtdresses. And the tafetta trench was just perfect.

(Ok, the highwaisted pants, I didnt love too much)

went to the trunk show...

there were a few good dresses...
and a nice top with the origami knot(which i am sure will be outrageously priced and heavily knocked off)

but that was really it...
mmm....one or two cute bags too...

pre-spring was definitely better...

i'm surprised people think it isn't one of alber's good collections. in my opinion, it's the second best. fall of 2003 being the first.

in all honesty, i was disappointed with the previous collection, because it was too 'pretty'. this hardcore wiff from thic colletion is so cool. it's kind of bad *** for lanvin isn't it?

my favourite looks are the boyish cobmos with the ties. it was certainly nice to see alber do a pant look or two. i hope he elaborates on that in the future.

those are basically some of the pieces i saw at the trunk show...
most of it is from the resort/pre-spring collection...
there is a lot more jewelry but it seems most of it won't be produced unfortunatley...
but it was outstanding...!!!
