Lanvin S/S 2012 Paris

Classic Lanvin: moody, romantic, sophisticated and so forth. All the usual adjectives apply. I do notice one slight move here in the stricter silhouettes, the sharper lines. Maybe he will build on that going forward.

there is nothing new in this collection,n with those color looks more like FW.

really a bad LANVIN collection

Not My fav.... Daywear looks like Givenchy mixed with Celine..... evening wear looks like Dior .... will sell but not really pushing FWD.

Agreeing. I love it simply because the clothes are beautiful, but I'm dissapointed by the lack of innovation.

With boring Dior I would preffer wear Lanvin this season.Very beautiful pieces, the transparent dresses are mystical. Alber has a delicate and sensitive taste.

If Alber's last 5 collections for Lanvin didn't exist, this would've been great and exciting. Alas, those collections do exist, which means, we've seen pretty much every piece before. I don't understand why he seems to be stuck. Same as Dolce, same collection, with slight variation here and there, but nothing we haven't seen before.

its a way of dark for summer collection but silk dresses and part with brighter colour palette look awesome. i would like to see more originality though

I love the pieces (the dresses are gorgeous. A little bit scared which celeb will try wearing them see through on the redcarpet) but where are all the colours. He usually make beautiful brights for summer and this just seems too moody. I'll propable appreicate more when I see it in mags.

That's pretty much EVERY designer these days though.

Hum. I got confused when I saw the first pictures.

I was even going to go to style.com to check whether the dresses posted were from Lanvin (Margiela came to mind).

I´ll admit the styling is a wee bit too distracting, as well as the venue and setting and how the chose to present it.

That said, its very Lanvin and i was super happy to see all those silk/gauze dresses which sure will make stylists in Hollywood wonder how they´ll convince the starlets thats ok to show their panties.

This seems rock n roll as well. And very very dark, like clothes for the evening.

I think it is refreshing to see this after all those pastels. Sure will refresh my eyes.

Seeing those HQ's I think the collection isnt'so well done and made, especially those silk dresses with pins in the last part.
I still like (but not love) the collection as a whole, but I'm a just a sucker for Alber's aesthetic.

The more I look at it, the more I like it! Luv to see the back details.

I liked 2/3rds of the collection, I like it when Alber works with prints and athletic shapes, and this reminds me of his Fall 2010 collection. What I don't like are the pastel chiffon dresses at the end, they seem like afterthoughts and dont' fit in with the rest of the collection.
