Laser Skin Resurfacing (Clinic Treatment)

I know laser treatment has been effective for many skin problems,like scars,blemishes ,hair removal and so forth.From pregnancy , have developed nasty strectch marks on my belly.Has anyone tried laser treatments for this problem,or tried certain medicated exfoliating creams for this....

Has anybody had laser skin resurfacing or knows someone who has? What were the results? Was it good or bad? And what was it to get rid of? E.g. scars? wrinkles?

I am thinking about getting this and I have olive skin. Is it for all skin colours? I heard someone say that it could turn your skin colour lighter or darker. Is that true?

I'm thinking about it for broken capillaries on my cheeks and around my nose. There are supposed to be some really fabulous options now (Candela Vbeam sounds very promising) but I would definitely like the opinion of someone who's had it done.

I'm interested in this too, I have some scars on my face that I would love to get rid of, but I don't know if laser skin resurfacing would do that. Opinions and experiences would be very much appreciated.

I was consideing this for acne scars on my cheeks until I heard about some BBC newsreader...she went to a really reputable surgeon in London to have it done on her scars and it went horribly wrong apparently. I know there is always a risk with any treatment that you might be the one person in a hundred that ends up with bigger problems afterwards, but I can't help having a knee-jerk reaction to hearing horror stories. I'm thinking microdermabrasion now, that seems less risky right?

I am going to see my aesthetician on Tuesday and I'll ask her about it. I don't think they do this kind of laser treatment at the spa, but she's very knowledgeable. Will report back.

My Mother had it done on her broken capillaries around her nose. They are now considerably unnoticeable now but she had to get it done numerous times.

And have you heard of coblation? It is similar to laser treatment but with less side effect. I was considering the treatment but want to see are there any opinions on this??

Horribly wrong? meaning. . ?

I do think microdermabrasion is less risky, completley UNRISKY if you ask me; they even make kits so "in home" microdermabrasion is possible.

I've said this in another thread but uhh.... every country has its good and bad surgeons, even US, so do research. If you're going to Korea, stick to Seoul and find a doctor that does operations in a hospital not in a clinic.

I recommend the Fractionated Erbium Glass laser, but get a referral through your GP. Previously I had severe acne scars and now nearly invisible after 5 treatments. I had mine done at The Skin Centre in the Gold Coast of Australia

Funny thing about this treatment is that during the procedure, you smell like cooked chicken..
