LAURA SEYMOUR lives and works out of her studio in Brooklyn, New York. She finds inspiration in the city she loves - New York, and she aspires to make clothes with a consideration for how it is made and fits that is equal to how it looks. Laura has spent the past six years immersed in the industry learning various aspects of the trade. She began as an Assistant Designer, freelanced as a technical designer, and has even fit modeled. Most recently she has run the Technical Design areas for Betsey Johnson and Heatherette. Laura Seymour's styles are minimal, but not too serious - light and playful with well considered details and construction. She aims to create clothing for the woman whose confidence is soft and subtle - with a style that is easy, unaffected and smart.
