Lauren Conrad Tell

Well, this is a fashion forum and like all other fashion related topics, we have an opinion on how she dresses which is nice but you can't deny it's hella boring sometimes. It's like saying to just accept someone who dresses like a mess (not that Lauren does) on a forum. Not saying that she has to change, it would just be nice to see her take a few risks. But I'm not expecting anything (at all).;)

I think some people need to accept that this is who she is, and she isn't going to change.

I think it is less about Lauren changing as a person ... but expecting her style/sense of fashion to evolve with times. Some of us who grew up with her...have seen our own sense of style change but Lauren is wearing the same shoes/bags she was using in 2005.... and it is very boring.

It would be easier to accept her boring red carpet choices... if she at least had a modern hair style... instead she is still using the fake, ugly extensions that no one who is truly fashionable would be caught dead...

I didn't mean changing as a person - I was referring to the expectation of style evolution. I feel like some people have been complaining about the lack thereof for two years now. Two years. That alone is pretty telling.

I think it takes a lot of discipline to stay true to your own style..Lauren probably found her style and she just stick with it without following the mass

To say that her style has not evolved is overreaching. Lauren doesn't dress anything like she did back in 2005 when she first came on the scene. Can you see her looking like below on the red carpet today?

As for the bags you complain about her still wearing years later-- they're Chanel. They will never go out of style. It's not like she's clinging to some "It" bag from 2005 that's clearly dated. I've never seen anyone wear a Chanel bag that looked out of date.

Here she is with the same bag a couple of weeks ago. The bag is the same but the style is much more sophisticated.

I understand that she has her own style and blah blah blah.... but for someone in the fashion industry who has always wanted to be a fashion designer she definitely plays too much on the safe side.

Most designers are known for their creations, not their personal style.

well, if I'm not wrong, in her case she basically "creates" clothes based on her style.

Lauren's style is just so California... no layering, no complexity, minimal accessories. Her style = a pretty dress, an expensive handbag, high heels, thin gold necklace you can barely see. That's it. It's not complex, and I don't think she'll ever change. I think it fits well with her environment and her personality -- she derives fame from a reality show. You can't expect her to dress like an heiress from New York.

But I like Lauren's style. It's just a very attainable (albeit expensive) LA style.

Meh. I agree with Suka & Gleam. She should look toward Olivia Palermo who is always flawless & stylish but also looks like she is young and has fun with fashion. Lauren always looks so repressed. She dresses like a stylish surburban mother.

So pretty at the Alice + Olivia event :crush:

love her Chanel bag collection too. And her heels in the Birthday balloon shots. Her legs look great in those heels! ID's? :flower:

Hmmm yeah.... her red carpet looks have remained the same... it's always a cheaper, simple dress paired with either a peep toe shoe or simple black pump.... the same cheap long extensions... and the same stupid pose and one of her three chanel purses...

It was OK in 2005 but now she needs to evolve... branch out and wear real designers and use accessories that will enhance her look.

For example, her dress at the A+O event is not too drab... if she wore a more interesting shoe and use a nice clutch... of course better hair and makeup would have been a nice change as well...

Speaking of hair... I wish she would go back to this hairstyle... her own natural hair instead of these stupid long extensions and a nice rich honey blonde color... it was healthy and gorgeous...

^^I have the same shoes from her line, I find them so comfortable and makes my legs look lean. Love the last outfit, her leather shoes are so cool :)

I find it refreshing that she's herself. She dresses like a normal girl that anyone can emulate, its not forced or trying so hard to be a fashionista. Olivia is glamorous, but imo, she always looks like she's out to prove something.
